Hi everyone,

I'm very close to ordering my Macan 4S, BUT I hate the plastic front lip and the plastic side skirts. This makes me thinking ordering the turbo but I can't justify the extra cost just for that. Would it be possible to replace the plastic parts with aftermarket painted parts? Do you have any idea for the pricing of turbo parts that I could probably use as replacements?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Not sure about aftermarket parts.
However, you can option “Sideblades painted in Black (high-gloss)”
And
As for plastic front lip, you can option “Offroad lower front apron inlay painted in Vesuvius Grey”
I did these for my Macan. Not very expensive. They look nice.

Edit: Sideblades painted in body colour is another option.

This is a great choice to mitigate some of the matte plastic, but the wheel arches, bottom of the mirror and the rocker panels will still be matte plastic.

In order to change out everything with paintable parts from the turbo and then have them painted gloss black or body color you will be approaching the cost of the Turbo price differential.

I think your option is the best way to find a reasonable compromise.

Do a black wrap of the mat plastics …
I wish it was that easy, but wrapping textured black plastic is asking for disappointment.

The turbo parts are smooth plastic (different part numbers) as supplied and are paintable, gloss black as fitted on the Turbo, but it would be interesting if someone bought those parts and painted them bodycolor.

i'm curious to see how the fenders would look in body color.... i'm not sure it'll look right at. Someone with some photoshop skills should jump in...

Are the side blades the only plastic part that has texture? Does the lip have any texture?

I thought it was only the side blades so made sure I got that in gloss black to allow me the option to wrap it back to another color later. Guess I was wrong

The side blade and a portion of the front lip have a diamond type raised design, but the rest of the black plastics have a rough texture that will not allow for vinyl wrapping.

The painted sideblade will be smooth and can be wrapped if you chose gloss black from factory.

I still they can be wrapped... It's not that textured... The diamond texture on the lip is another story tho

Thanks guys! it seems it's either turbo or plastic then... I can't believe that you get so much plastic on a car that is well above 100k eur
