I'll be very surprised if there is any "non-PCM" significant updates that are OTA - Porsche is barely comfortable with dealer applied updates…

I'm not saying I'm right - I'm saying I'll be super surprised - we'll see.

legacy automakers will claim hardware restrictions.. they want to sell you the new model. Rivian / Tesla / Lucid sales model is to make existing vehicles better with software updates will unlikely be adopted by legacy auto until theyre close to being irrelevant, which will be unfortunately too late. IMO.
The speed of innovation in the My Porsche iOS app almost seems unprecedented for Porsche. Maybe they are already afraid that they're close to being irrelevant in the global EV market.

The speed of innovation in the My Porsche iOS app almost seems unprecedented for Porsche. Maybe they are already afraid that they're close to being irrelevant in the global EV market.
they are not "afraid" they are thrilled given managments current plans to go back to ICE focused development - unfortunately they are behaving like blockbuster executives.

If Porsche is like Audi, don’t hold your breath For updates. I have a 2023 ETron SUV. The MMI needs several things fixed / updated, but no update has been forthcoming in 20 months of ownership. Pretty disappointing.

The ID.7 was a 4 door sedan with a traditional trunk that pulled less than 300 miles per charge on a max 86 kWh battery w/400 volt architecture. I'm not losing any sleep over this one getting axed from the USA. I don't know anyone who would be interested in it at a $50k+ price point.

There is one strong case for the need of OTA update - the Plug&Charge issue.
It's clearly a bug and it's clearly something that OTA should take care of.
If this is not happening 4 months since first deliveries... it's a bad sign.
