My car was booked in for the update this Friday. The dealer just called and asked me if I wanted to rebook for January. They had previously carried out the update successfully but they have 2 cars that were just updated and the cars have totally shut down. They cannot restart the cars and they are waiting for a resolution from Porsche Germany.
They cannot understand why the updates have been trouble free on previous cars but these last 2 have trashed the software so the cars won't even start.
I thanked them for forewarning and have rebooked early Jan.

This is pretty tragic and a bitter taste of deja vu from the Taycan experience.

This should not be the experience after 6 years!

God help the Cayenne EV!

Imagine how much these complications cost Porsche as a company. The labor that is wasted updating the cars and fiddling with the updates. No surprise Porsche isnt making money and is struggeling financially.

In the meantime other companies are updating their fleet overnight via OTA. Not a single hour in a garage spent and a single hour of an expensive mechanic wasted. And that does not even count the opportunity cost for not having the garage available for other, more useful repairs etc
