Missed a few phone calls then had an email today saying my Macan 4 was ready on 18th September (yesterday). Got a call booked tomorrow to arrange collection.

anyone else got firm dates? Bit out the blue

Hi, I’m awaiting a Macan 4 which should arrive at the dealership next week. Was told I can have it after the official launch event for the car. Had an email/invite saying the dealerships launch evening is on Thursday 10th October 3 weeks away. I was originally told July !

That’s hugely frustrating and not too commercially savvy of the dealer … they’ll have the car booked to be paid in qtr ending 30/9/24 … their dealer launch date is clearly the constraint given my car is due into dealer 27/9/24 and it’s available as a September handover and invoice!

(Maybe, like for me, the dealer will conjure up a solution that at one stage (earlier this Sept) added extra 5-6 weeks and then over the past week and improved back to being a Sept handover)

Wish you the very best with the car and it’s arrival - esp if you have this slightly prolonged wait.

I’ve had an invite to dealership launch (Newcastle) on the 30th, so they are on their way
Not expecting my 4S delivery until December.

My 4S is also going to be produced next week with expected delivery end of Oct.

however he did mention about the sale stop saying

"There has been ‘stop sales’ implemented by Porsche though due to important software updates so we would need to ensure that there are no delays once your car is built and in the UK. This will become more clear once production has ended and the car has arrived in the UK (should be around 15th October if everything goes according to plan)."

I was told we would have our Turbo this week but it's now been pushed to next week. We live a few minutes from Porsche Cambridge and have seen a few drive past our house. It's close. Porsche Cambridge also has a Turbo in the showroom, which we played around with yesterday.

It's weird to see a £110k car and merely think "it's alright", but that was my first impressions. My Taycan Turbo S feels far more special - admittedly for 50% more ££ it should do. This is replacing our Mach-E that we only purchased as a stop-gap whilst waiting for the Macan EV, so it'll feel like a big upgrade for a daily driver.

Excellent, I also had a MME and sold it to get the Macan. Driving a Ioniq 5 in the meantime but man, I do miss the MME, it was much more fun driving!

Can’t wait for the Macan to arrive!

Picked up our Macan 4 Ice Grey metallic with red / black leather yesterday.

great car - reconfig of buttons on remote has me popping the bonnet too much though (instead of unlocking the car!) bonnet goes fully open now - no safety catch stage so adds to the embarrassment ☺
Passenger seat belt rattle against door trim is total disaster …. Elementary bad design.
Macan 4 performance is grand - feels tad faster than Macan S and effortless like all EV’s.
happy with PASM at this stage and saving prices of Air Sus.
PCM very good / fast and lower console is pretty much volume control + all for climate (much better than clumsy Taycan duplicity of controls)
Hitch getting second driver profile set up so Dealer gave up rather than delay handover indefinitely.
now done 300 enjoyable miles - like the subtle Ice Grey metallic which has hints of White, Crayon more than Silver but it’s a new colour that will have intrigue similar to my Taycan Oak Green in offering differing looks in different levels of daylight!

As someone else suggested, buckle it on, when there is no passenger.
Good to know, apart from a couple of niggles, all is good.
