I tried when I got the black screen and nothing happened. Only found the reset of the pcm so far, that is done by pressing the volume button in the middle of the console for 30s.

This worked for me as well when it suddenly quit working yesterday. Porsche should be notified that this seems to be more than just a one off issue.

I told them but they were too busy fixing deployment issues. It did not happen again.

Bose sound system stopped working for me today. No sound at all from any sources. Tried unplugging the connector in the trunk for a bit as well as hold the round button for 30s to reboot and still did not resolve. Will try again later today after leaving the car alone for a while.

My Burmester did this a few days ago as well, although it started by passenger side going dead before it went completely dead. Could not get it to return (did 10 PCM resets - and Burmester doesn't have same access to trunk plug), but fortunately I already had a service appointment for a laundry list of other issues, so I just added it to the list.

The car would bing/bong but would not play any audio from any source.

Ended up resolving the issue by itself and had the sound again after parked and locked for a few hours.

Same issue today for me. Right speakers went out completely while I was driving. Tried reset and other suggestions. Gave up and thought I’d be taking it in later in the week. After a couple of hours parked, off and locked, it suddenly worked again when I was headed out earlier tonight.
