This is a bit of an intersection of a couple of my hobbies, but wanted to share a cubby organizer I modeled out and 3D-printed for the area beneath the climate controls.

I kept the initial design pretty simple; I uploaded the files to thingiverse if you'd like to play around with the design. If you have suggestions/improvements I'd also be happy to make those modifications for you.

The cubby area doesn't have any large openings, so the best way I found to install the organizer was sliding it in from the side.

The rule of thumb is to print using PETG for car accessories (to reduce heat warping), but in mild climates, I've been able to use PLA without much warping. Total cost of print was $3.27 (but I'm sure if Porsche was selling this, they would add their logo to it and mark it up to $50 :giggle:)

Would you be willing to make me one and ship it to California for a fee? Would be most appreciated in my new Turbo.

Very neat, kudos @cottony!

Would you mind sharing the dimensions of all 4 sides?
From the sketch, the top part looks much wider than the bottom part, but on the pic it looks almost like a rectangle.

Hi, thank you very much!

And you are right, the picture that looks like a rectangle has poor perspective, the cubby actually has a trapezoid shape.

I attached some pics of the dimensions, units are in millimeters!

Thanks for sharing the design! I love a well organised car, so this is going straight into mine if my husband can sort it out. :)

thank you, appreciate the kind thoughts! Hopefully it’s something you find useful!

a small tip — if you find that whatever you put inside is creating a lot of rattling against the plastic, you can pick up some felt liner from any hardware store along with some super glue. if you line the inside, it should dampen any sounds and reduce the amount of movement

it’s the same concept for why the center armrest cubby is lined with felt

Similarly, I find that non-slip matting (the mesh type, as it's easy to cut and very cheap to purchase from ebay as a roll) has a multitude of similar uses. The advantage over felt is that it's easier to clean, and also saves items from moving in the first place.

Even available in 'Provence' - kind of, lol https://tinyurl.com/3wre5axh

I've just emailed this to my husband to test out. If it's successful on our set up at home, are you interested in one?
Yes.
