Hey,

Got back my turbo yesterday ! Whaou I found the macan 4 so boring and that's a pleasure to meet again wheel spin rage 😜

So just to let you know, 3 days to confirm a problem on my battery, 2 weeks to ship a new one to my dealer and 1 week to change it (in real 3 days, but they probably made more test and change my windshield on my request). Seems to be fast. So to be short you're set in 3 weeks if Porsche take your case seriously.

I didn't know what happens, and nobody wants to be honest there, as we share on this thread before Porsche may not want to reveal it.

Anyway I have a fresh battery after 12000km, and I'm happy 😊

Hi,

New battery delivered last Friday, my turbo will probably ready in the end of the week. My dealer said that I'm the only one in France to have a problem. Not knowing so much about it, but the dealer stored the car far from other on his parking, and can't do anything on it before removing the old battery. So I presume a major issue, but didn't seen anything wrong with on my side.

My car was manufactured on 28 august 2024, sounds strange as I was delivered in November.
Curious what’s your build date if you know (usually on sticker on front door panel)

Hello, I can't find any sticker with build date, only tire pressure on the driver door.

The 10th character out of the 17 characters in the VIN tells you what Porsche model year it is.
So, if the letter is S then its 2025 year.

So an “early” Turbo owner, wondering if you had no warnings or signs? Did your battery percentage fluctuate none lineair during discharge / charging? Elevated consumption (not related to driving or cold) … just curious if you noticed something yourself.

Hello,

No I didn't seen any problem previous to recall. My consumption was a bit high, around 22 kWh/100km but not so strange and winter temperature (south west France) may explain that. All fast charge were done smoothly with the highest speed the car may accept (270) even after the dealer called me. Now I get 19.5kwh/100km but the temperature is more around 20°C.

The only issues I got is here : https://www.macanevowners.com/forum/threads/battery-indicator-stick-at-100.18531/

That seems to be software related.

Can't say what happened, fire risk? High degradation? Default in a individual cell?

Probably component reliability issue then … could be a heating element or so ….
