Loving every minute of the Macan EV Turbo - 3 weeks in and still smiling! Only one item of any significance to report and that is the intermittent failure to correctly display "70 mph" on the instrument screen and Porsche map functions on dual carriageways - it shows "60 mph" and issues the audible warning if 60 is exceeded.
I mentioned it to the senior technician at my local Porsche Centre (MidSussex) who runs the Masterclass for EV Macans and he said it was a known fault and would be fixed in a future OTA update -but no known date for this.

The tech guy at handover told me the same. I think it because some dual carriageways have been wrongly classified as single track. Iā€™ve not found the same problem on motorways. I have the audible warning turned right down and also set the ā€˜diamondā€™ to turn it off. Itā€™s nowhere near as intrusive as the warning in my Lexus RZ was and there was no shortcut key so delving into menus was necessary every drive.

I have found the speed limit indicator absolutely hopeless. Sometimes it decides to be accurate but as often as not it will show 30, 40 or 60 on a 70mph dual carriage way, 30, 40, or 60 in 20mph London streets and so on. Yesterday for example, on the A12 between the M25 and Ipswich all of which is 70mph dual carriageway, it showed speed limits varying from 70 to 30 with all stops in between for no rhyme or reason. if I want a reliable speed limit indication I have to use Waze. I have posted this on another site and loads of people are getting the same thing. I have never had anything like this with either Jaguars or Mercs that I have owned before, so who knows what the Porsche system is using to give speed limits but of one thing I am certain - itā€™s not fit for purpose. I asked my dealer to take it up with Porsche UK and Porsche Germany but I live more in hope than expectation that it will be sorted. On a Ā£90k plus car it isnā€™t good enough.

Similar issues with my Turbo. 80mph in a 30, 30 on a 60 and 125 on the motorway. The fact that some of these are more than the max on any uk road is a basic failure. Even worse is when you attempt to use with the speed limiter function when the car decides the 60/70moh road you are on is suddenly a 30 and hits the brakes! This is by far and away the worst implementation of speed limiter software I have ever had, my 1st gen Macan was streets ahead. Given the price bracket it sits in this very disappointing and I doubt a software upgrade will help as the actual camera hardware isnā€™t up to the job

Same issue, hare, Macan following incorrect speed limits and braking suddenly to slow down.
Instead of sudden braking to slow down, if just a warning signal is given, it would be much better. At least we can judge whether to ignore the warning!!

Come on Porsche, release un update - Pronto!!

Mercedes ask to confirm the change before hitting the brakes, avoids potential potential rear end shunt when car decides to slow unexpectedly

Welcome to the world of not so intelligent cruise control. It's a long standing issue (I picked my car up mid-November and have had the issue from the start). As others have rightly said - Porsche are aware of it and are supposedly working on it, but don't hold your breath. It's frustrating as its a costly extra to have Innodrive, when it has never worked. After the instance where my Turbo decided that a sign showing the 70 was dropping to a 50, was actually a sign dropping to 5pmh then rammed the anchors on, I turned the traffic sign recognition off permanently as a cruise control option as it was just bloody dangerous. I've been keeping an eye what it thinks the speed limits are since, but it's shown no improvements in accuracy. More frustrating for me is the fact that prior to the Macan I had a 3 year old Launch Edition e-tron sportback, which had this function and more that worked amazingly well. Why they can't import the tech (or at least the knowledge from the engineers to sort the issues) from Audi to Porsche, being as they are the same group, is beyond me when Porsche are clearly not capable of resolving it 4+ months on.
