• They screwed up by not innovating current Macan ICE platform. Obviously.
• They thought Macan EV will replace it and all will be fine. Not so fast.
• Replacement will be basically an Audi. You have to wait until 2028 to get it.

not really an admission of a mistake if you say you'd make the same decision given the same information … they'd make the same decision again if the circumstances were the same as when they made the original decision…

I think that's just political word smithing by Blume - it's a fail IMHO and hence the rush to bring out a new model if only to address waning sales and to recover much lost ground (historically and going forward with the recent EU u-turn).

Cayenne / Cayenne EV - several years in development and at no point was there a thought to drop ICE / hybrid variants. Same market conditions you could argue well before the Cayenne EV launch.
