I would like to make disappear the km guessometer on the driver display …
In my previous TMS, I had never displayed the range in km, just the battery SoC. No range anxiety, just a reminder to charge when it’s around 15%.
Now, because of that, I’m always thinking about the actual range of the Macan!

I am really very happy with the efficiency and range of my Macan 4
I am easily achieving 17-18 KWh / 100 kms in city driving conditions, on 22 RS Spyder Wheels in Estoril/Lisbon - Portugal in December/January with temperatures around 10-15º C.

After reading this thread, I've turned off the auto regen yesterday and even though I just drove some very short distances, I already have the feeling of improved range (and besides this I noticed that I do prefer the behavior of just rolling). Will keep an eye on it.

I am very surprised by the coasting / rolling capabilities of this car too. It is such a different driving experience and something that dramatically changes the way to drive “efficiently”.

Most of us (northern hemisphere) got our cars late Fall or early Winter, and have experienced mostly declining temperatures. I am experiencing a major reduction in range in sub freezing temperatures, and my car is kept in a semi-heated garage.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong... not getting near to those values. I'll turn off regen and see if I notice any difference.

Macan 4S with 22" Spyder wheels, no preheating but a reasonable length journey yesterday

You do have very few miles on so far. The other thing I wonder: from your average speeds, I assume your driving has been in a very congested area (or you have been idling an awful lot). Either way, if you have heat on, you're using a lot of heat for the distances you're driving so a lot of energy going to climate relative to movement. Except for a couple hundred miles of traffic, and maybe 500 miles at 70ish speeds, most of my driving is fairly rural roads between 35 and 55, probably ideal driving for range. Probably colder than where you are though.

I'm a very cautious driver ;-)

Yes, good point on it being mainly local driving with heating, music, etc all active too. It's also below zero here with snow at present. I'll keep an eye on it...

I just noticed the supposed 10 hours of driving yesterday too. I don't think I was awake for 10 hours yesterday, never mind being in the car for that time!

Not seeing much better than about 40kwh/100mi in my 4S with 22" spider after 1000miles

4S 20" wheels. Car is still sub 300 miles. Happy with that for January with foggy conditions. Multiple stretches at 80mph. Started at 37 degrees.

Also getting around 33 kWh/100 mi around town today. I don't think there's any sort of extended break in, these numbers match my expectations.

If you got 22" Spyder wheels (the least aerodynamic wheel) you're going to get 10-15% less than me.

Efficiency was closer to 45 kWh/100 mi for the first 45ish minutes. Extended periods cruise control locked at 76mph and 82mph. For people reporting bad range, how long of trips are you doing? I've found short trips around town (low speed) are still fine but any short (sub 30 minute) jaunts on the highway really show poor range.

22" Spyder wheels are going to get poor range. It was night and day on my Taycan Turbo S swapping from 20" aeros (winter) to 21" Mission E. Huge range loss on the 21s, easily 15%.

Well it’s”winter” here so I cannot really compare unless you have 5 to 0 degrees Celsius as well. But on 30 to 40 km trips at 75 to 80 miles per hour on 20 inch wheels, typical highway commute to and back from work I’m averaging around 42 kWh/100km I guess I’ll need to wait for warmet temps, I’ll hold of judgement for the moment … But even in warmer temps like 10C-15C it was not really that much better …

30-40km is not enough time for your efficiency to drop. My efficiency on the above trip, that ended at 34.2 kWh/100mi, was at 45 kWh/100mi for the first 25 miles.

The total trip efficiency dropped from 45 kWh/100mi at 25mi to 34.2 kWh/100mi at 140 miles. No stops. And the worse efficency was before I hit the 80mph stretch.

Yeah but I have the same driving out with a warm battery driving out of a warm garage … so the car does not need to heat up that much if at all … I do understand that EV’s are not that efficient on short trips, but if pre heated on a 30 to 40km trip it’s still not ok, then there is an efficiency issue and it points to a less then optimal heatpump / heat recupuration system …
