Heads up display issue

The "power meter" disappeared and I can't seem to get it back or even cause the HUD to change in any way despite configuring it from the PCM. Anyone else dealt with this?

I am having the same issue - once setup you can’t change what’s displayed.

Operating head-up display
The head-up display can be operated using the multifunction steering wheel.
Operating multifunction steering wheel

• To switch the head-up display on and off, press the left rotary knob on the steering wheel for a longer period of time.
• Press the
  
  button on the multifunction steering wheel several times until the head-up display is selected to make adjustments.
• Turn the right rotary knob on the steering wheel up or down to switch between different views of the head-up display.

The display position of the head-up display projection can be adapted to the driver’s size and seating position. These ergonomic display settings (height, brightness, rotation) as well as the active view can be set directly in the head-up display.

• Press the right rotary knob.
• Rotate right rotary knob to the desired setting, such as seat height, and select by pressing.
• Adjust by turning up or down.
• Exit the menu by pressing the rotary knob again.

On the Center Display, the displays in the head-up display can be configured, and the head-up display can be switched on and off.

In user defined view, various display content such as driving assistance, compass, speed display, traffic signs, etc., can be freely combined in three fields (Fig. 1). Temporary messages such as Telephone calls may temporarily overlay area.

Thanks for posting the manual ; nevertheless once it is set-up it can’t accept the changes even though you go through the process.

Cool, thanks, that solved it next line so the user defined configuration is only one of several presets and the only one that is changeable

Just asking, because at one point, I got confused myself: you are highlighting the HUD display, and then simply rotating the scroll wheel, correct?

My wife and I are HUD users and, for the first month, we changed the display nearly every time we drove the car. Let me assure those having problems, some of us have it working and can make changes!

As to why you can't make changes ... it's an interesting question. If I were to offer time to help you troubleshoot it (compared to what I do), what would you want me to do?

it is changeable and you use the "scope" selector button to click between scopes - once the HUD scope is "selected" - you can use the scroll wheel to select between pre-selected HUD displays…

It is configurable but, some the software on my car was updated by Porsche, if I select the power meter in the display, it doesn't appear.

It worked previously but since the software update, it doesn't display in the HUD even when configured.

Yesterday my heads-up display disappeared for no reason. Couldn’t get it to work again. Problem solved itself overnight. So unplugging seems not necessary if you have time.

I switched from Tesla to Porsche because Tesla software is often beta status. Seems like Porsche is the same. When I count the number of rattles and softwarebugs in the macan it comes near to my model s plaid, which I returned after a two years odyssey.
