Has anyone gotten this option that can take a photo? Would love to see how it looks. Thank you!

Is there any part in particular you're looking to see? I was also wondering before my car came. It has the purple hue / infrared film layer that keeps the heat out. I haven't tested the heat but here are some photos. The last two photos are showing the cutout for cellular/transponder reception.

Anyway, i love the heated windshield option, i wouldn't order a car without it. I may opt for the thermally & noise insulated glass next time even though it may reduce mobile reception.

Thanks, was wondering how apparent it was. It looks like you can't see the wires for the heating element, is that right? I was worried it would annoy me having it highly visible.

I have the heated windscreen on my 2023 Macan, and as far as I’m aware, Porsche do not use wires for the heating element inside their screens, as they use some sort of heating film sandwiched between the glass panels.

My screen looks a little golden colour in certain light situations, but definitely no wires or other distractions are visible.

IMHO, it’s a great option, especially with our UK weather😁

So I tried using the heated windshield this weekend but I'm not sure if it works.

The heated windshield option is supposed to provide draft free removal of condensation and frost.
The owners manual states the front windshield defroster will enable the heated windshield. This causes a upper vent draft to turn on. The rear defrost does not state it enables the front windshield like the older Porsches have in the past.

So I turned on the rear defroster and the mirrors/rear window defrosted but didn't do anything for the front windshield. Maybe my windshield is not heating like its suppsoed to? As a matter of fact, the mirrors and rear glass stopped heating after a few minutes. so its kind of tedious to constantly turn the rear defroster back ON to heat the windshield. Am i missing something here?

It seems like the other VW's including the id4 windshields operate the exact same way.. no way to keep it on without having a draft front defroster vent on, repeatedly turning the rear defroster ON to keep all other heating elements on.

Defrosters (front and/or rear) are very heavy on energy demand so it should be correct if they get turned off after a while. If I remember correctly it was the same on my Tesla.
