anybody out there that would like more notifications from the car? the only notifications i’ve received, is when the battery was charged and when the pre-climate temperature has been reached.

i recently had an issue where the alarm was going off intermittently for no apparent reason. would have been nice if the car had notified me while this was occurring. having not received notifications for an alarm made me think maybe there would be additional times it would be useful to receive a notification from the car.

how about when the doors, hatch and hood have been opened for more than say 10 minutes? windows also, if the car isn’t in use? oh yeah, and one for when the 12 volt battery falls below 10 volts?

anyone have any other thoughts?

Agree! As others have said, I would love a notification to take my phone as I have left it in the charging compartment soooo many times!

I’m puzzled that the App doesn’t notify if a door or window is open after parking up. Recently the boot was open (I think it opened because I must have pressed the button putting the key away. No notification from the App. My last 5 cars notified if a door or window was open after parking up.

Yes, no notification message is received, if a window has been left open, for instance after parking the car.
But the home screen on the app still gives this information. A green tick in the top left corner means all is good. If red, clicking on it shows what has been left open. Not ideal as getting a notification message but still useful.

Porsch Vehicle Tracking System (PVTS) if subscribed to will handle alarm notifications.

Open doors, roof, boot, tailgate and windows notify when you exit the car.

Add the app widget to your phone to see the status at a glance without opening it. If no green tick then you know something is up.

This is a bit low, actually, as I haven't been on a longer trip. This was just doing stop and start errands locally for the last few days.
I often see 400+ range like that on better days

It does notify you when the alarm goes on.

This is oustanding range, how do you find the RWD? Very limited content/reviews on youtube. Im torn between RWD and going up the model range, i need abit of extra overtaking bhp for those country roads

RWD version is excellent. 0-60 in just over 5 is not a slouch by any means.
On my test drive, I was given Macan 4, but I find no noticeable difference between the two.
Turbo and 4S would be a beast, I imagine. But this one is good enough for my needs, with a bonus of more range.
Best to test drive to find out what you really prefer.

I worry about lack of traction in Scottish weather. I test drove the RWD and coming from a mach-e, it was plenty power!! I should probably get in a 4 and 4s to see what they are like.

The UK app does not notify or confirm whether the alarm is set or activated. You have to subscribe to the Vodafone / Porsche or other security system companies to be notified of an alarm activation - these systems are always on unless you deliberately

turn them off.

Location alarms are for setting an alarm when the vehicle enters or leaves a specific location.
This is not active for me as I didn't set anything up.

The other tab "Car" under functions/alarms will show each time the alarm has been triggered.

The iOS notification will show a popup when the alarm is triggered if you have activated alerts on lock screen or notification center for the My Porsche app.
