I have had issues with the radar. When condensation or salt from the road sticks on the radar screen the ACC stops working. I had to clean the radar repeatedly to have it work again. I have read in one of the threads that the radar is heated. Can someone acknowledges if this is true and if you need to switch this on somehow?

Heating sounds like fairytale. Mine freezes and isn't working quite often because of weather conditions....

The radar shouldn't be affected by condensation, perhaps snow/ice but there would need to be a least a quarter inch or so. The optics certainly would be degraded. Also RF interference like you get around some airports. I've driven in some nasty and cold weather and have seen the optical aids drop off, mostly from sun interference, but not the adaptive cruise. I don't typically use any kind of cruise control under icing conditions, however.

Is Porsche using a weaker radar than the usual (in the Macan EV) or are some not pointed accurately from the factory? Their performance diminishes when pointed at the road surface or sky.

It's not heated and as per other sensors can be impaired with dirt, heavy moisture and so on.
