I took my 2025 Macan 4S to the Porsche shop for an issue with the network connection dropping and they informed me that I needed the following (not related to my network issue):

RECALL WSJ2 Rework rear axle module cable set

A part had to be ordered.

I checked my VIN with the above sites — showed clear, so there must be a lag

I wonder if this is related to the PTV+ system. Standard on the Turbo and Optional on the 4S. I did select this option.

I shall drop a note to my service guy to find out.

Good news - part will be here Monday. I was worried that it would be much longer.

Yeah, that's the one! I dropped my car on Wednesday, they said they ordered the part (as well as the part for the rear hatch trim that fell off) but when I picked it up Friday (and returned the Macan 4 EV loaner) they said parts weren't actually available yet for this recall so they couldn't do it.

I smiled at the guy and told him I look forward to our next meeting :)

I went to my local porsche dealer and they entered my Macan Turbo VIN and it's a Recall but not a safety recall. I guess if Porsche decides it needs to be replaced but it's not a safety issue it doesn't show up when entering your VIN online. Getting mine done end of September.

It was issued in the UK on 6th August. My Turbo was in with Porsche from 31st July for a random frunk lock fault that was causing the alarm to go off randomly every few hours and the car wouldn’t lock (as it thought the frunk was open, when it wasn’t). It was due back to me on the 6th but the SA called to say they’d just had the recall notification (they used the words recall, not campaign, but that could be for ease of customer understanding) so they could either keep it a few more days or rebook it in for the work. I’ve had nothing through the post about it yet, but it’s booked in for 11th September, as I needed the car back at the time. It’s a one day job, but they needed to get the parts in so had I have had it done at the start of August they’d have just added extra time to get the parts. I took ownership of the car in November 25, so it may only be they earlier models perhaps, either that or everyone will get a letter/notification about it in due course as parts become available.

Still no communication from Porsche on this even though I called the dealership yesterday and talked to them about ASA3 rear camera recall software update already being completed on our Macan. The Porsche rep checked the official files and said as of yet our vehicle is not covered by the rear axle recall (our Macan was first placed into service on August 5, 2024).

Informed today my 4S (not turbo) is to have a WSJ2 Rework rear axle module cable set. As others have said, it’s a campaign not a Recall.

I haven’t seen anyone else on here with a non-turbo having this.

My car went in to my local dealer for a tire replacement yesterday and they told me about this recall Apparently there is a clip on the rear motor that is sized incorrectly and has to be replaced. They have taken care of it while the car was at the dealer.

I think this is a "service campaign" (work they do to improve reliability and not have more expensive failures later) and not a "safety recall."

my service advisor says all Macan EV's Turbo's built before a certain date need this service inspection - the washer is too small and may crimp a harness causing an electrical fault - inspect/replace washer - problem solved!

the Porsche recall site + your vin will tell you if your Macan Turbo needs this inspection done.
