Hi, it's seems there is a new version of the latest update that resolves some of the issues that have been reported here.

Seems like you can only get it when you complain hard about any of the following...

It also mentions something about a next update set for 6/2026:

The update may only be carried out in the event of complaints or when repairing or replacing components , even if the Porsche Tester displays deviations in the integration test for affected control units (red integration test). This procedure is a temporary exception that is expected to be lifted in 06/2026 with the next integration update.

I had the car in service for the initial VR.28.13 update after which the GPS started acting up.

Then I brought it in again and got another update (SW4?). Now the ISA sound is much more silent (much better!) and I have not had a single issue since. Not even any yellow alert. I am pretty happy.

.... might be complaints about the lack of functional updates. However, understood.

I have had the SQ4 update applied for a few weeks now, and I am noticing a newfound stability in the software. I currently only have a media play back issue/amp (+ recently started only playing sound out one side of the car). and the downgrade for on board charging is still active. I'm in at the end of the month hoping there is a new OBC update, and the audio media playback system is corrected with the intended amp replacement.

So many other issues seem to have not come back, but weather has also improved so really hard to say if it's just software - but indications are somewhat positive at this time that SQ4 is a meaningfull update.

To me it feels like before the SQ4 that the update wasn’t really „active“. I know it makes no sense but somehow SQ4 finally fixed all the things they mentioned in the initial release notes. While initially the changes were barely noticeable.

So what should I tell the dealer in order to get this update? or is it now a routine update that will be done automatically if I take my car in?

My GTS is currently on milestone 3. Production should be end of June/beginning of July. Will be interesting to see, if I will get that latest update upon delivery.

well...being that this update is only applicable to MY 24/25....its confirmation that the software has split, and these early models will probably NOT keep up with new models in regards to features and updates.
They will have to have specific app support for these models....and I think once they get it stable enough, they will put it on the shelf as "complete" and never update again....

I hope time proves me wrong

Thanks for this information. I have a few of these issues. Will ask for update in July when it doesn't have to be an existing problem.

„Due to the high number of programming steps incorrectly carried out as part of the last software update, a checklist was created to improve the overview of the work to be carried out. This can be used as a tool at the start and for support during the update.
The checklist must be completed, signed and attached to the PQIS quality line in the PCSS.“

Do you currently have issues with your vehicle? If not - what is the hurry to get the update? I have a 2025 Macan 4 and have received an email notification that an update is available for my vehicle. We have essentially NO issues with our vehicle - so we are deferring on the update. Car isn't due for service until July 2027 - we'll see at that time. Software updates are a lot like taking a bus ride - you don't want to be the last one on the bus but you probably don't want to be the first one either.

TBH this is less of an update and more like bug fixing AND it requires visit to the shop AND it's not done by default but requires you to complain about specific issues.

On the other hand I just received a message from Porsche Connect that the ability to select preferred charging stations in the car is not and will not available for MY2024/2025, it will not work as intended with the current mobile app and basically to get this advertised update you need to get a newer car
