I got Blackvue DR970X-2CH LTE Plus cameras installed, front and back.
Camera itself is a bit expensive (prices available online), but the installation was £110
The installer did a good job putting it at a good place. Quite inconspicuous actually, away from driver's eyeline.
Whilst driving, I never ever notice it. Behind the rearview mirror, it wouldn't have been totally behind the mirror.
The picture quality is good, but the app on the phone is meh!

Wow very interesting. Any more pics of it from different angles? Ie passenger side, front of car etc? Looks like a good location indeed

I followed the link to the Porsche dashcam and saw that it says that the acoustic / heat glass may cause interference with GPS reception, resulting in incorrect or non-existent display of position and/or speed
Has anybody with the acoustic glass had the Porsche or any other dashcam fitted and does it cause a problem with the GPS or speed

Glad to hear you were able to get the Blackvue dashcam installed. I’m considering either the LTE or Box version of the Blackvue dashcam after nearly getting hit by someone who ran a red light today.

Was the installer able to use the dashcam pre-wiring, assuming you had that option? Can you watch the camera live from your mobile phone while parked?

Interestingly, in the UK, prewiring for dashcam was at no cost standard equipment. So, I had it in the Macan anyway.
But whether it was any good for the installer, I don't really know. He did say to me when ordering the camera, get the wires as well that come with it. I didn't order any extra wires, just those that come standard with the camera. So, I think he did use these wires and tucked them really nicely, as I can't see any of it. My PPF detailer did the camera installation for me.
For the back camera, Macan prewiring for dashcam might have helped, but I don't know for sure.

For some reason, this is only possible when I'm in the car. When I'm in my flat, I can't see live or recorded stuff. Perhaps it got something to do with that 'cloud' thing that I don't know how it works. If someone knows, please chip in.
When I go back in the car, the camera does announce an event/impact was detected. The installer told me, it's very sensitive, even when someone is close by, it does that. I've not had any impact.
The recorded videos also come up in the app only when I look for them in the car. I then take the phone back home and look at them :)
The App is definitely not so good!

Does sounds like you need to activate the free Blackvue cloud feature since you should be able to watch remote, especially with the LTE version of the Blackvue which has a built-in SIM card.

@Wivenhoe
I have heated windscreen, but not the thermally and noise insulated glass. The cameras work fine.

I did activate it. For me, Blackvue cloud feature on the App only comes on when I'm in the car, and that too after 2-3 attempts. And when I select cloud connection at home, I always get this 👇

Electric Macan EV OEM Dashcam (front & back) installed - parking mode cloud
