Plug & Charge after latest app update on April 3, 2025 is showing in app as unable to get status error ("Plug & Charge status: Unable to get the current Plug & Charge activation status from the vehicle"). But Plug & Charge worked just fine at EA station. Guessing latest app update ver 15.25.14 has issues.

I have the same error since updating to the latest My Porsche app version. Have not tried to charge since then, but it’s reassuring to know that you were able to do it. Since the update, I also cannot set a departure time using the My Porsche app. I can do it using the car’s PCM though. Only thing I am not sure is whether the problem is related to the new My Porsche app version or iOS 18.4, since I updated to both at almost the same time… Kind of annoying but not affecting the car’s drivability.

Good point on Porsche app and/or iOS update potentially being the issue. I’m still on 18.3 iOS and hadn’t updated yet to 18.4 iOS.

Good to know. Then it’s related to the My Porsche app version!

I’m on iOS 18.4 and am receiving the exact same error message in the app since the My Porsche app was updated to 15.0.0 last week.

We had an issue the first time getting Plu and Charge to work. It showed the certificate number on the Porsche mobile app but would not work at an EA 350 kWh charger ( a charger we had just watched work successfully for another car immediately before us. Called the Porche Customer Service tech help line (In the U.S. @ 1 (800) 767-7243), and they first were able to have it change on my phone from just a certificate number which failed to work, to instead the words in green letters “Certificate Installed.”

If anyone does not see those two magic words in green letters on your mobile, the Tech assistant suggested to call that number and they will assist getting across the finish line.

My plug and charge wasn't working yesterday. I left and went back to EA today. Same thing, so I charged the old fashioned way through the app. Then I looked and the plug and charge was turned off in the car for some reason. I turned it back on and will try again when I need to charge next.

I have Porsche app version 15.25.14 build 397, and I see my Subscription and my Plug and Charge history in the app.

However, I may never have had Plug and Charge set up on any earlier version of the app, because I picked up my car on March 28 and set up the certificate then. I wonder if your loss of visibility for Plug and Charge occurred during the app upgrade process.

My Porsche app updated to version 14.25.2 build 380 and I'm on iOS 18.3.1 and am receiving same message. Sometimes it says that the car must be on to sync this status.

My Porsche iPad app is version 15.25.14 build 397, iOs 17.7.1 and it gets the same error

Anyone figure this out? Sounds to me to be a mother ship problem.

Plug and Charge works fine at the charging station, except it seems it takes longer to authorize/connect.

Great information. How do you find the app version & build #?

To see the app version and build number, click on the Account tab at the bottom right, and then scroll all the way down.

This morning when I open the app, I now see the same error pop up for a minute: "Plug & Charge status: Unable to get the current Plug & Charge activation status from the vehicle". It disappears after a few seconds, and I can still see my subscription and charge history. I also successfully charged on a local EA station yesterday.

Update 4/14/25: Plug & Charge worked at EA this morning. Still getting the same error message and still unable to set departures on the app. Both issues persist despite restarting the PCM, logging out and in My Porsche app, deleting and pairing the phone with the car, and hard resetting the phone. I have not tried to do a factory reset on the car because I don’t want the hassle of having to set home-link and my preferences. And because I’m hoping the next My Porsche app update fixes it. 🤞

yep. Me too.

Getting this error but verified plug-in. Charge at Electrify America worked this morning.
