Rear Axle Steering or Heads Up Display?

Have had my Macan 4 for a couple weeks. Using CarPlay and included Apple Maps, I never have to look down at my phone for turn by turn directions using the HUD. It is surprisingly freeing but it took awhile to get used to. I just leave my phone in the charge slot and I'm not tempted to pull it out - even when I leave the car LOL. To me it is the perfect meld of technology and safety.
For my driving, there is no need for rear axle steering. Interestingly my SA (total beast mode buff) when I owned a 911 had no good word for electric cars. Until he was treated to driving the Macan EV on a track and regular streets. When I was configuring my 4 even he said absolutely get the HUD.

Does anyone know if there is a way to literally display the map in the HUD (not just directions)? I believe not, but want to make sure.
Coming from glc300, it has a beautifully HUD with large NAV map. It seems like a big miss from Macan.

I think the full map on the HUD would be too distracting!

Not at all. I had it for 2 years. It’s amazing. Of course, there is a toggle to disable.

You can't have it in the HUD, but you can have it in the central display tube.

Coming from a Taycan 4S, no HUD since it is 2020. Daily commute is 30 miles. Use Google Maps in Apple CarPlay which I understand won't work with the display?

I have both and don’t regret it. I will say as others have noted … my reverse and parallel parking is terrible right now with this car and I suspect it’s the RAS. Will have to get use to it I suppose
