Surprised by Tow Hitch

Anyone else surprised by how large the gap is between rendering and actual car?

Are you talking about the gap vertically between the license plate and the hitch?
If so, that has to do with the configurator showing an EU plate (skinnier but longer plates) vs the NA ones (taller and shorter).

That looks like crap, are you sure it's supposed to look like that? Looks like the internals are exposed in a way they shouldn't be.

The system in Europe is totally different. Over there, the tow ball automatically folds down. So, you don’t have that gap underneath.

Gap and plate look like place for electric brake light plug, minus the plug.

Ok, picked up car yesterday. Tow hitch pretty standard setup, however DC power plug to trailer brake and running lights points down at a 45 degree angle. This is a poor design as standard 4 pin trailer adaptor hangs low and into dirty air and road grime and exposed to road hazards. Going to look for flexible cable adaptor to mitigate some of the clearance and potential breakage risks.
