The lottery turned out wrong for me…
The tire lottery can be a good thing. It has caused me to live with tires I would not normally choose and learn that factory Pirelli summer tires on a Taycan Turbo S are significantly smoother and quieter than Goodyear N rated tires, even with sound insulating glass. The measured sound level may be nearly identical, but the noise pattern is more enjoyable.

I agree with many that Michelin are my first choice, but others work very well and sometimes better.

I’ve had 20” Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 tires on my Tesla Y for years and they do offer great traction and a quiet ride.

One caveat is that they tend to wear down quickly after about 25K miles due to the extra battery weight of the electric car and become very noisy as the tread wears after only about 20K miles.

Did not dig the tires at all on our X5 in the winter. To much ice in our neck of the woods, actually frightened me a few times and i love winter driving. Swapped them out for X-Ice this last winter. Still have them mounted up if anyone needs a set for an X5 or similar in the beginning of Nov.

Made an appointment today to have my Bridgestones replaced by Goodyears for a reasonable price.
Good to read that the majority of members are satisfied with what is on the rims of their Macan. After next week I will be one of them.

How much is it going to cost you?

My lottery result is Bridgestone 22" from the factory

Now I'm wondering what the best brand choice would be for the winter tires which I do have a choice on....hmmmm....

I think that the composition of a winter tire is softer than that of a summer tire. If you do not experience that the Bridgestone is stiffer, this will certainly not be the case with their winter tire. However if you do experience it as I do, I would definitely choose a different brand. Maybe a test of winter tires helps?

The tyre labels on the configurator is mandatory so Porsche has to show these differences. I looked them up and saw them confirmed by several tire tests for SUV summer tyres.

The table shows consecutively for 21” rims 255/45 - 295/40: front dry - rear dry | front wet - rear wet | dB front - dB rear
BridgestoneCBCB7173
ContinentalBACB7375
GoodyearBABA7072
MichelinBBBB7472
PirelliCBCB7172

Conclusion: Goodyear is the best choice. Bridgestone and Pirelli are the worst.
@Bennie, this is very helpful information. Could you post a similar table from the UK configurator for the 20” All Season tires?

Sorry… I made this table myself with the information about the different types of tires from the configurator. If you click on the tire symbol there, it opens and you can see the different specs.
I guess it will do the same if you do this for 20” all seasons.

I couldn’t find any information about the tires on the U.S. configurator. Here are the highest rated 20” SUV all-season tires according to Tire Rack:

1) Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06
2) Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4
3) Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive
4) Continental CrossContact LX25
5) Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3

You’re right. In the EU also no information about winter tires in the configurator. I can’t even choose them. I had Michelin all-season tires on my ICE Macan once and I liked them. I think that would be my choice.

My assumption is the tires require the XL rated variant for the heavier load due to the batteries. Looking at the Bridgestones now they are very clearly marked extra load.

It was also true for my Tesla Model X. On that vehicle I picked Pirelli Scorpion Zero Assimetrico XL for year round use and was very happy with the tread wear and performance but that vehicle was no Porsche. :CWL: Although I have never heard anyone complain about Pirelli Scorpion Zero or Continental Extreme Contact either (v.happy with those on a Cayenne S years ago)
