Lot of high performance cars get stolen.
I honestly don't think so. I haven't heard of anyone around here having their performance car stolen for many years, and given the electronic locks/keys of these vehicles, plus built-in locators and immobilizers, you'd need access to very custom parts to make them driveable in whatever area you would resell them in.

Or maybe it's just that most of the resale for the stolen cars are far away from the US West Coast, and there are easier pickings/export opportunities elsewhere?
Curious as well. Steering wheel is on the wrong site so no export to mainland Europe :CWL: . I guess they steal them for parts.

Must be a coincidence - my car is 7 months, totally faultless. Got in today and had that exact message. Then it went red and I couldn’t select drive. Turned off, got out the car, locked it, opened it and everything was normal and good. Range has remained stable throughout.

The car is booked in for the rear motor ā€˜campaign’ mid Oct so if it doesn’t happen again I’ll mention it then. If I get it again I’ll call the dealer but the car may be immobilised if it is reporting an actual major issue and not a software ā€˜glitch’.
after 12.5 months I got that error too. Got out, locked and unlocked the car and I could drive off with no error šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Jetced - do you have a Porsche / Vodafone tracker ?

After telling my dealer about the error message they said they will carry out a VAL and see if there is an entry about it in the error log - all above my head. If they find anything I’ll post about it. Still got the fingers crossed as it hasn’t reoccured.

I’m in the UK and I’m still seeing and more importantly achieving over 300. Tonight my car has 54% with indicated range of 173 = 320 miles. I’ve checked my charger consumption against miles travelled and it always comes up with similar ā€˜efficiency’ as the App.

I suggest you do some screen shots from the App and ask your dealer to run the necessary checks. Most unlikely, but are you sure you are charging to 100% as 240 is about 80% and thus the ā€˜optimised charge level’.

I’m sure of the % charge and the range and then to divide by % and multiply x 100. This is the best in a week - still not risking a French road trip despite being a bit more than the low of 240 .

Do you drive highway, city? Top speeds? I've seen these numbers on highways, I've actually seen far less going 150+km/h.
This is on a journey mainly motorway 70mph ( possibly slightly more but less than an indicated 77 officer)

Good news is, its very descriptive. Bad news is nobody on the forum will be able to pin down the cause. You have to take it to the dealer for diagnostics. The range drop might be indicative of a cell fault as PrudentOcean has observed.

One thing I find amusing about all the top brands is and their marketing is, they advertise the "cell" design as if they can swap out cells and all is well, when in reality they always swap out the whole battery; otherwise, cells have different performance characteristics.
This was one of the faults I experienced. Dealer told me to bring it in. I got an immediate loaner. They checked and rebooted and reloaded some software. Car was fine after that.

I agree with others on this forum. Take it to the dealer and have them scan for proper resolution. Best wishes and happy motoring.

I'd say 395km range at 100% based on your screenshot for highway going 120km (75mph) is not much of a concern in my book.

Driving style, terrain and outside temps all impact range estimates.

So based on this number alone I would not be concerned.

But dealer has to diagnose the car. The high voltage system is many components and that error, especially if recurring, means something is acting up.

Strange to drop from over 300 mile (480km) range to 240 especially when the official figures suggest 377 miles range is possible albeit unlikely!

Not if there was a change in your driving patterns. 100km at higher speed or sloped terrain is enough to adjust the estimate.

The official numbers are subject to very specific conditions indeed. I have beaten those and then some. Is it worth the effort? No. Wasted time.
