Washing Macan EV & Charge Ports

Charge ports opening was not my concern in our first high-tech touchless car wash - the frunk hood opening was! The wash was so powerful it triggered the hood open but would not let it pop up - the hood caught the safety latch but allowed a ton of water into the frunk.
They should have a wash mode for both the frunk and ports if equipped. Since they don’t I would deactivate frunk hand gesture option before washing. I have manual ports so no issues for me there. Makes me wonder if you spray the trunk underside if you can tigger the trunk open? lol. My solution..hand wash 😜

I agree with you on the wash mode. That is my main point. Maybe if all owners complain Porsche will ‘eventually’ have an update that will include one. I can’t imagine it would be that difficult…

Onlt problem about the hand wash suggestion is as you must know, when you live in Canada (or certain areas of the world) hand washing in the winter simply isn’t an option.
