Scheduled charging issues….no options now work

I shouldn’t have to do the direct charging BUT it will give me something to tell Porsche about. it Must be a porsche problem as my Hyundai charged perfectly up until the Macan arrived.

I have the same problem on my macan turbo, annoying as the price for charging after 00.00 in the night is cheaper,.. so i need to go down late in the garage to plug it in for charging now…

is there any ota update yet , i havent seen any since i got my car for 2 months ago

Hi Robert, this is so annoying. Having to go out to the garage late at night. Night time rate and daytime rates are so different too. This must be something Porsche has to sort out. I’m away the weekend but I will be in my dealership on Monday trying to get something sorted!

Robgeo, I’ve had my Macan since end of October and I’m aware of two OTA updates. One on 24th or 25th November which addressed problems with assistance systems and solved traffic sign recognition error messages (map data re-mapping and may be UK specific). The other at 09:00 UK time on 29th Nov but no idea what this was for; none of my numerous issues have gone away as a result.

Thanks for the info Richard, i live in spain and no ota updates since beginning of october, my car also dont remember settings, data package dont work

is funny as our tesla model y dont have any software problem and i excpected the porsche to be little better than this in software/technology but it isnt at all, is a fun car to drive but a lot of bugs right now and the porsche support just replyIng and saying that all looks good from their side. …

this is the funniest things I've read all month…why would you expect VW/Audi/Porsche be better at software than Tesla? That makes no sense what so ever.

Haha no no thats what not what i meant, i expected it to be better than this in software, not better than the tesla, already know and knew that tesla is number one in software before…all the best

Agree their software may me good, build quality is basic ….. having spent a lot of time in taxis in Sweden around Stockholm and Gothenburg. Non electric Volvos that are 5 or 6 years old internals great look nearly new …….. Tesla a year or less look like more than 6 years old……… Problem these days is nobody seems to do everything well.

As a drive the Macan is vastly better than I expected but as I’ve said on this platform and others and in writing to the dealer who sold to me it looks like the first clients are beta testing the product. Had a few Taycan owners and dealer employees making comments that would suggest the launch was no better.

Did you see b5djf’s post earlier in this thread when connecting a charger that has a programmed schedule and is paused ? ... ‘because it is paused the car and charger negotiate and say they are connected but as the charger is paused waiting for low tariff 1 minute later the car throws an error flashes the light next to the charge port red, unlocks the cable, puts and error on the dashboard and I get an app message to say charging error.

If I don’t touch it and leave the car locked and cable in, despite the car saying ‘charging plug not inserted’ (my Zappi says EV connected) and when my charger finally starts charging, the car locks the cable and charges ok and it will stop and start as per the charger schedule throwing an error each time it pauses - I just have to accept that the cable is unlocked when I leave it overnight but it does eventually charge ok.’

Have you seen this happen? Possible solution? I cannot check as Macan back with the dealer.
