Park button not registering park? Anyone?

I think I’m going a bit mad, so hence my question. I had already 3 occasions where I clicked the button (it’s to firm but I clearly heard/felt a “click”) but the car is still in the selected gear and going of the break moves the car, already had 3 times almost a small accident …
Anyone else have this?

If I do remember correctly, saw a video from outofspec (reviews or detailing) a while back that mentioned a similar issue - something akin to it may be possible to hit the “P”ark button (somewhere near corner edge) where a ‘click’ is heard but the car doesn’t register vehicle as parked.

Might have to experiment to see if this can be replicated. I’d love to help but still waiting for my vehicle to arrive at port.

True, Dave mentioned this in his video. I've had it happen to me once so far... I now check the screen to make sure it's in park

Really a recall worth issue, let’s say a person is between your car and a wall or another car …

That's a lot of events. @OutofSpecDave has mentioned it at least twice in YouTube videos. I am now super cautious about making sure the car is in Park after I press the button, but this is not good. I think anyone who has experienced this needs to report it to their dealer.

What do you mean the button not working or if you report it to the dealer they take your car for 4 weeks to figure out what is wrong …

It happened a few weeks back for the first time, nearly backupped into a tree before I braked. Then I read this thread and ever since I indeed also check if it really is in park mode.

I can confirm it happened to me at least 4 times.... I hear the click, etc and park is still not active.
