I took possession of my new Porsche in November. I was really enjoying it until it, without warning, did three successive hard braking and then shut off, all within 5 seconds! Thankfully, I was in an area where traffic could get by. It was a very scary experience and would have been life threating had I been traveling on a freeway. The consequences would have dire. I took it to the dealer where I purchased it. They said that there were "a couple of faults detected" They kept the car overnight and "reset" the system. A week later, it happened again. Again, I can't begin to tell you the fear. I called Porsche and had it towed to my local Porsche service department. It now been in service for 4 weeks. They said they have contacted Porsche USA and then Porsche Germany. I was told that it would be another 2 weeks. At this point, I simply want a buy back since I will never feel comfortable driving it again for fear of another life-threatening incident.
i don't want to accuse anyone of anything sinister. i have no reason to doubt the veracity of this story. except that it doesn't belong in this thread and that this is their first post, and except that i have heard many such reports about other cars but never about the macan.
I don't think, Kyle, Dave, and Kathy were tuned to radio 4 cricket when they said the basic sound system was surprisingly good.
Immeasurable I'd say to be honest...more to be gained from having smaller aero wheels but then cosmetics kick in and we all tick the 21" (or 22") and the range argument goes out the window.
Nice build. I love the gloss wheels. You have picked several gloss black options to match but have left the side blades standard (unless I missed something). If so I would reconsider as I got the standard ones and I am replacing them. They collect dirt as the surface has a rough texture and looks like a cheap plastic (in my opinion). In line with your theme, I would pick the gloss black blades. But if you don't like that then the exterior color would also be awesome Or even the carbon fiber ones....anything but the standard ones. I say this because you cannot wrap them if you don't like them. As I mentioned the surface has a bumpy texture on it so wrapping or painting is not a good option.
I suspect it’s the removal of the rear wiper option - not sure what the real reduction is but my dealer said 25 miles which sounded a lot for a marginal decrease in the cd
Insulated glass is able to keep the interior temperature longer. you have heated or cooled your car and make a stop to run an errand the interior temp will be better kept. hence „thermal insulation „.
That sounds like SA hogwash!
