True that there have been some Macan’s with issues with outside components, but I just finished my first thorough washing of mine. Even when completely finished the job, there was not one spot where I had found a paint run, not one location were I found I a panel that should have been slightly relocated to better fit to the one next to it, nor a single piece (including plastic ones) that were not tightly attached on every corner.

This is my first Porsche and while every single previous new car had a location, two, or even three where something should have been done better, not this one. Well done Porsche. This is my 58th vehicle (a little less than half new), and in hindsight I wish I had found a way to be a Porsche owner much sooner.

I guess unicorns do exist.

We have different experiences on our turbos.

Sorry yours had had some issues. I sure had my share of software issues (5 weeks in total at the dealership after a eries of major functional failures ), but as far as how the body is put together, it is excellent. As the software has been after it was released the second time.

Hope your issues get fully resolved.

i am sorry that you are not happy with your turbo. but to assume that a perfect macan is a „unicorn“ is factual wrong. there are thousands of them out there and the numbers of people that have complained either here or elsewhere is very small, maybe smaller then usual. this is a complete new platform and everything on this car is new.

also funtcdriving is only talking about the quality of the alignment and bodywork and paint. do you have any complaints about it?

I'm in a similar position as you — but I'm (hopefully) about 1 year away from being a first time Porsche owner. Waiting on my current ID.4 lease to end.

I just watched some great videos on YouTube about how Porsche assembles ICE Macans as well as Taycans. I had no idea they use so many robots. No wonder they can produce these things with such precision.

But I'm glad they still have humans for quality checks at each step of the process.

I was impressed after hand washing my 4S, especially with the feel of the paint and how solid the panels felt overall. But then it has been awhile that I wasn't amazed by how well my mass produced cars, bikes , trucks were put together. Even my Jeeps have all been perfectly made. I hope the 4S will be durable. The BMW paint of a couple decades ago was too soft and my Fiats thin body panels would pop in and out in car washed, but were beautiful.

You know the dealer can adjust your charge flap to flush right?

I have a 4 model with 2k miles now, small issues nothing to drive to the Dealership for. So far everything has worked itself out. Have had 6 Porsche's in my life and not one of them ever went back for anything other than regular maintenance. This one is a little more quirky but so far so good.

I noticed this too on my 2 week old Turbo. At a stand still, windshield washers fluid overshoots to only the upper part of the glass and above it. They are aimed too high. However, at high speeds the washers seem to get the job done. Almost as if Porsche only intended the Macan's windshield washers to be used at high speed! lol

My Taycan and 992 were aimed perfectly from the factory and works well at a standstill as well as at high speed.

Has anyone actually been successful with adjusting the aim of the nozzles themselves using a needle? I'm afraid to try for fear of breaking it.

Unfortunately I was given a “not much we can do” it was how the car was built and doors have no adjustment

Uppper part of drivers side door notable panel deviation where it meets the fender. They told me it seems like a fender alignment issue. Guess I’ll have to call Porsche about it. I guess what bothered me more than the alignment issue was the // not much we can do with your car attitude on a brand new vehicle. Funnier thing was blaming it on being hand built, which I know (for a substantial part of it) it is not.

who told you „there is not much we can do?“ esp. as you say „i will have to call porsche about it.“
however it is a good idea to talk to porsche. the door of your car is not properly aligned and porsche has to fix it or compensate you. i am amazed how many people complain here about porsche but never have been at a pc with their problems. i do not know about the us market but in europe porsche gives full warranty and they fully come through.
