Saw something odd today. Only the vents on the right side were open today. Can I control it from the dashboard?

Sometimes I think that those flaps could be one of the reasons of the bad range in winter.

Specially because with low exterior temperatures I have always seen them fully opened 🤷🏻‍♂️

I am sure that I am wrong but maybe…

yeah, i'm not sure why they don't close in cold temps to maintain the heat the battery generates... But at the same time, after charging in the cold, the battery temp has come up enough that the battery fan has come on... So it may not actually want the battery to be warm. idk

Frost protection measure.

Preconditioning of the battery can take the battery to 32C and above and so to help regulate the temp its best to ensure the flaps are open.

I had to do a fast charge two night ago (unfortunately my father passed away and I was 700 km far from home). Scheduled a charging station (or better the car did) and 20 minutes before the start batteries temperature start to rise from 8C. I did a quick stop and noticed flaps were closed. Arrived at the charging station with a temperature of 27 and finished the charge at 46C (11 to 75%). So I would say that it works as should.
