I also tried unscrewing the two adjusters fully out, and it didn’t help fyi
Thanks for the video, Dave! Our car is experiencing the exact same metal-y, rattle-y sound as you described (although yours sounds a bit like a creaking noise from the video). We've tried those two methods and the rattle was not fixed. Our dealer here in Westchester didn't know anything about it nor were they able to help. Hope you find out more with your dealer in CT.
Btw, we optioned for acoustic glass so the cabin is nice and quiet; therefore the rattle has been extra noticeable and annoying when driving around town. When we sit in the rear seats, the rattle noise from the trunk sounds extra loud!

I thought I had solved this problem by wrapping the tow bar and lug nut socket with microfiber towels. While this reduced the noise considerably, it did not totally solve it. When I first tested the car, it was warm and so I thought I had fixed it. The rattle that remains is temperature sensitive! When the car is cold, the rattle exists. After the car starts to heat up, it is totally silent. I tried extending the trunk stops, but no luck. If I find a cause, I will post again.

I agree it has a cold relation, when my car was cold I thought the panoramic roof was squeaky … but it could also come from the back …

Hi Folks, I had a rear hatch rattle that was looked at and adjusted a few weeks ago but now it's back and even worse. It's coming from the rear right side, and it happens on every single bump. The front suspension knock is also back (although the dealer was not able to reproduce it when I brought it previously). So far I can't go more than 3 weeks without requiring a dealer trip. If Porsche would pay me for every warranty trip (like Vinfast supposedly does) then this car will be free by the time they fix everything. We had temperatures from -20C but now it is hovering around 0 degrees, so I suspect this car was not tested in various weather conditions, or was just not built for winter. The assistance services get enabled and disabled 5-6 times per 50 minute drive because of the wet roads (melting snow) so if it was possible to not spec all these sensors, I would have done that as they are pretty much useless.

I'll post back when I eventually find the time to bring it in. If you have had your rear hatch fixed, it would be great to know the exact work done so that I can let me dealer know what to try. Thanks in advance.

Any chance your rear right rattle is simply the rattling wheel nut tool issue identified by Out of Spec Dave at around 1min40sec in the video:

Thanks for the tip. I removed the tool and lug nut, wrapped them in a cloth bag and put them aside. I'll so tonight if the sound is still there once I leave the office.

Unfortunately the rattle for me was not because of the tools in the rear. It seems to have gotten worse on the way home where I actually checked if the rear-wing was loose. I feel it is the rear hatch again although it is a different sound than the first time. It's a rattle but sounds enclosed instead of just metal-on-metal. Anyway, I am glad I checked the rear door as it is badly misaligned anyway. The rattle is annoying in such a quiet car but I will try to live with it a bit in case something else pops up. I will also try to schedule the appointment to be with the technician to confirm both the front rattle and rear rattle to avoid the "unable to reproduce" response. Thanks again for the tip, I may try putting a terry cloth like in the video above to confirm the issue.

Lubricate the rear hatch latch to rule out that- has been an issue on Taycans.
my dealer had several attempts to cure this on my just sold 23 CT 4S - so annoying and not solved ! Gone now - hopefully new Macan 4S will be ok!

I have had extended drives on both a 4S and Turbo Macan EV and both had an annoying vibration from the instrument cluster unfortunately. Hopefully you will fair much better.

Hi, some quick updates. I am leaning towards the rattle being temperature related, with warmer weather making it worse. It's a very noticeable rattle in the rear. But another thing that I noticed is that going over bumps does not result in a solid "thump" for each axle, but more like multiple quick thumps per axle. Like the suspension and shocks are loose. The handling and steering is precise and heavy (in a good way), but hitting a single bump feels like going over multiple bumps, like the whole car rattles. It sounded fine in the colder temperature in the morning (-5 C or something around there) but was noticeably worse on the way home at 0 C. Temperature is dropping to -20 to -24 degrees C next week so I will keep an eye on the looseness before scheduling a service visit.

On an unrelated note, I have been trying Innodrive during my morning commute while in traffic and it works surprisingly well. Very smooth operation, from steering to the acceleration and deceleration, even when cars merge in front of me. I love the driving dynamics of the Macan EV but letting it take care of the boring Montreal highway-traffic is really nice. I played a bit with the distance settings to get a feel for how far the Macan will follow traffic, and how close it gets to a car when at a complete stop. Even that is well calibrated. I just need the rattles fixed as they really bother me, then I'll go back to feeling the honeymoon phase with the car again.

Sounds like there are multiple noise issues at play in this discussion. Not sure if my issue is similar to any of them. It's only happened 3 times and occurs when I'm starting out, moving slowly and slightly feathering the brakes, in either forward or reverse (e.g. backing out of a parking spot or inching forward to clear traffic from a side street). I'm thinking that the brakes are incorrectly signalling the Hold function and it sounds and feels like I hit something. It's only occured 3 times and I've been unable to replicate it proactively at this point. Any ideas?

I just started to notice this as well in the last two weeks.
Coincidently, the weather is getting warmer.

I thought it may be some rocks caught beneath the spoiler, so I took it through the car wash with the spoiler up.

I also twisted the rubber stoppers of the trunk as well as the hydraulic dampeners.

It's not as bad, but it's still there. Hopefully a fix is available soon, I paid for the quite windows so I can have a near quiet ride.

Hey quick update:

So I thought to myself, "what have I done differently recently since this started happening in the last week or so"?

Then it dawned on me: I started driving with the moon roof open (blasting the best '90s east coast hip-hop of course). And I NEVER drive with the sun roof / moon roof open on any car. Not even the shade back. Not to mention, it sounded more like glass cracking than a loose washer or something.

So, I rolled the sunshade all the way back, then all they way forward again a couple of times.
And maybe it's luck but the rattle is gone. If it's there, it's super-faint and undetectable to me.

YMMV.
