Jealous of what exactly?

Sales in the UK have been lacklustre, the high cost and lease rates (due to poor residual values) are the big factors here, plus people don't seem too bothered by the new Macan.

It does well in test-drives but not translating to sales.

Nothing from Porsche UK as I have no way of asking them but heard the same from 3 dealers here.

Comparing to the Taycan is an interesting choice. The Taycan was Porsche’s only EV until the Macan. Taycan appeals to a slightly different audience. The market for the Taycan is also considerably more saturated than for the Macan and sticker is typically higher for a similar feature set.

This does explain why Porsche is steadfast in its Macan Electric course though. With a few notable exceptions found on the forum, the Macan EV seems to have been delivered with good quality at a good time to the US market.

My dealer said there is some consideration being given for Volkswagen Group building the Macan and possibly other cars in the US. Until and if that happens, the unfortunate tariff situation could change the balance somewhat. As it stands, Tesla is unlikely to benefit, but other US automakers might.

there is so much wrong with this article I simply don't know where to start. First of all batteries do not have the energy density to even remotely match gasoline's power and awesomeness - and seriously have to pipe-in exhaust sound to make the vehicle drivable - heres a solution for your liberal media biased brainwashed thinking cap - how about a _REAL_ exhaust that makes _REAL_ noise, lots of it - even when it's idle in your driveway at 4 am for your 80 mile one way commute every day since you work in the city but live in the suburbs…

my god it disgusts me to read "hit" pieces like this meant to make people believe these are viable products and that they should consider them.

wake up people, do your own research (medical or otherwise) and realize they are selling you a bill of goods about a product that does not exist and should not exist…

failed policies, failed messaging, failed products, and a failed world view is not what we need.

don't you understand - one can't have any good news about EV's - you must tear them down at any opportunity - this article is clearly fake because it's potentially good news for EV's and will arm the EV loving masses with facts, data, and actual commerical success stories - we can't have that.

this "narrative" (fabricated of course) that the Macan EV could be "successful" is simply something we can't allow to fester and grow - pretty soon people will think everyone could drive an EV…

Thanks! My Macan routinely improves my day as well.

But the very same guy that was slamming EVs on the campaign trail just bought two Teslas. But wait, maybe the motivation was a bit different
