Today the Macan continued its fun tour of available failure modes (this car has been in the shop for about 30% of the time that I've owned it).

Anyway, today it stopped being able to charge at home with the messages below. I understand that people have had difficulty authenticating at public charging infrastructure but this should not be happening on a home charger. Anyone else experience this?

Error: Charging not currently possible

first i've seen this... try another charge like dave suggested.. .Even maybe changing the plug from the 240v to the 120v cord to see if that resets anything...

could be home charger does car fail on other chargers - the Porsche EV chargers don’t have the best reputation

have you power cycled the EV charger at home - rebooting might make it work

lot of things here that may have nothing to do with the car

Thanks all for the suggestions. It turned out to be the Porsche charging cable was in a bad state - with all indicator lights red. The error messages misled me somewhat with the mention of authentication. If they had simply said "the cable is not providing electricity" I probably would have figured this out more quickly.
