Car color wrong in PCM and app

Just got my car back from the dealer with Plug & Charge fixed. Yay.

oddly my car shows a silver now in the PCM and the app. It used to show as Black which is the actual color.

anyone know how to resolve?

I don’t want to touch the PCM and do a reset and mess up Plug and Charge.

note that the all icon says “Jet Black Metalic” which is the real color.

I get that from time to time, usually when there's an app update, and my car image is either wrong or disappears entirely, on both Taycan and 992. Always sorted itself out after a few days. On this recent Porsche app update when they added control center icon for iOS, my red car turned grey but then fixed itself to the correct image of the car after a couple of days. Restarting or even re-installing the app seems to offer no fix but rather something on the server end refreshed the fix eventually.

That just controls the color of the app icon. In my case this color is correct.

Ok give it a day or so as there's nothing you can do to modify. I believe it is based on your VIN.

Did this ever resolve itself? I'm not sure mine has ever shown the correct car in the PCM, any tricks to get it to show up properly?

Yeah it seems so, such low hanging fruit to implement for them too. I bet the feature was to make the car exactly as spec'd, which I can see getting expensive to do. Letting users set the color themselves would just not be correct.

At this point we need a separate forum. one for first class citizens (MY2026) and one for second class citizens as the cars are completely different despite what appearances suggest.
Porsche took everything that was wrong with the old car, fixed it, but applied the fixes only to the new car rendering the original customers as idiots.
