Hey,

Anyone know if the OBD port is on the drivers side or passenger side? And is it the side where the majority of fuses are located?

Finally, I think I need to connect to a permanent live which isnt switched, like the interior lights etc. Any idea what fuse that is??

Just wish this info was in a manual somewhere!
OBD is on drivers side. I couldn't find any fuses on the driver's side. All the fuses I tested were live unless they shut off after x minutes.

Yeah I read you need to wait at least 30mins after the car is off and locked for the power to shut off properly and know if a fuse is switched or permanent live.

Also, found the OBD port earlier this evening, it is indeed on the drivers side, but as I'm UK the driver is on the right rather than the left in the US and Europe! So thats confusing as clearly they move it depending on the side the steering wheel is on.

What I guess based on you saying no fuses on the left side, means they must be on the right. There was a guy earlier who shared photos of both sides, one side had a few fuses in, the other a lot of fuses... I guess I will just have to wait for the installer to have a play and see what they find.

Dealer is hopeless, they didnt even know where the tyre inflation kit was!

If you take a look at page 1 and 2 I posted the fuse locations. Passenger side and rear left side in the cargo area.

I would love to find the fuse that powers the 12v socket as that would surely be switched...

Just asked them, will keep you posted.
Hopefully they are willing to share.

In the meantime I'm going fuse by fuse and waiting 30 minutes for the car to shut off. This is going to be fun.

So lovely that Porsche decided to not give us a fuse diagram...

The pre-wired option provides us with 3 cables: +12v. +12v switched and ground.

For those who want to add radar/dashcam, it seems to be the option to get

I got a reply from my detailer (who handled everything), the installer is on vacation 🙃 I'll ping them again next week.

That's exactly what the guy told me he did. He also said it took him 4 hours to do the full installation in part because of this testing process.

The pre-wired option provides us with 3 cables: +12v. +12v switched and ground.
So my Porsche friend may have been wrong to say the pre-wiring was useless if you didn't go with the OEM dashcam. Having access to these cables would have saved me money.

I assume people who get battery drainage use the +12v (constant) power, and rely on the dashcam to prevent the issue? Seems super risky.

Actually had a semi big brain idea to close the latch on the pax side door and lock the car while the door is open. Car locks. Turned the alarm off. Going to wait 30 minutes and take a multimeter to it. This should allow me to find the switched fuses without too much time. Hopefully they aren't all in the trunk.

Well nothing in the front pax side that I could find powered down after 30 minutes. Trying the trunk next. I would really like to find where the 12vdc port goes to from the back and the front. There has to be a fuse hiding somewhere for that. Where might the 4th fuse box be?
