One more delivery day detail:

Funny story (at least in retrospect). On the drive home from delivery. I tried to adjust the side view mirrors and accidentally folded them with the folding mirror switch. I didn’t know to look for such a switch and could not solve the problem until I got home. I’ll classify it as comic misadventures, but if I had sideswiped someone, it would have been something else. That switch should require a long press because it is too easy to accidentally activate and not a feature many will ever want or need to use.

But we in the UK feel disappointed you left us out in narrow roads category

I second this, just got back from pounding a 5 series all around Portugal for a couple weeks, mirror retraction is needed occasionally as some roads and walls require sub inch clearance when passing other vehicles and road users.

Lucky you!! My delivery date was pushed back several times, stuck in the port and told it was being held due to two campaigns that would need to be resolved either at the port, or at the dealership when it arrives.

I’ve been increasingly impatient since, knowing it’s “here” but I can’t touch it. So I went to go test drive them..

The experience was a little bitter sweet for me… the vehicle they had to test drive felt “cheap” to me and makes me a bit nervous. Albeit, my customizations are very different, and may look better I’m still a bit nervous about my order…

The drive, excellent. I can see why they say it’s fun to drive, it is. It absolutely is. But I’d be lying if I didn’t admit the ones I saw left me a bit underwhelmed…

Each Macan is different and reflects the owners priorities. Make sure that yours is optioned with what is important to you. Also, there are plenty of EVs out there if one suits you better, but I’m quite happy with the car delivered to me.
