Mine is 26kWh, 80% of the time on highways (120-145 km/h), always cold weather, rainy, and lot of time idle with me playing in the car, often 4 people in the car and 22’’ wheels.

Same 20 mile range drop in my BMW iX, i.e., I eft my roughly 70 degree garage with 174 mile range but by the time I had gone 1 mile it was 21 miles less.

Is heavy breaking necessary to achieve improved efficiency?
I tend not to do that as I understand regen works better for efficiency and the regen works first when braking, and heavy breaking uses the actual breaks

Made me think it was waiting until satisfied that the breaks were bedded in. I don’t think that heavy breaking is a necessity. I was just showing car off to friend.

Here is our total consumption after 8000 km with the first 6500 km from PEC ATL (Atlanta) to Portland, Oregon. Average load was 240 kg, temperature was -5C to +8C, altitude from sea level to 2134 meters (more than 30 mountain passes). Last 1500 km have been local in Portland, Oregon with 160 kg load. Consumption in Portland at similar temperatures is nearly identical to total from start.

One thing is for sure... the efficiency in temperatures ABOVE 45f is night n day.
Over winter, i was able to acheive around 2.5-2.8 mi/KwH with some occasional trips hitting 3.
but once the temperature in my area hit 45+ ... the efficiency jumped. 50-60* weather is netting me 3.4 - 3.6 mi/kWh!
Begs the question why Porsche didn't launch this car in warmer weather so that the press releasess would be more favorable on the range discussion!

The best mileage I have gotten when running errands around town was 3.8 miles / kWh. That’s where it ended up at the end, but I saw values even higher during the drive.
