Front Impact Warning Light

I frequently have this warning light appear when I turn on my 4S (see photos below). It usually goes away after a minute or two but occasionally stays lit while driving.

What does this symbol mean (since I couldn’t find it in the manual)? Does anyone else have this warning light illuminated?

Same thing on my 4S. It comes on every time I start the car and goes off within a minute, I assume it is the system calibrating / starting up.

It's a warning of following to closely to the car in front of you.....if you back off the light will go out.

This page confirms Kal-El’s response that this symbol appears at startup until the Hazard and Brake Assist system is initialized.

Mine does exactly the same thing. I (maybe mistakenly) assumed it was because every time I pull into my garage the front parking/proximity sensors go off and that warning light stays on even when I get into the vehicle the next day but seems to clear after a few miles of driving.

Collision warning - driving too close to the car in front, sometimes false positive due to dirt / moisture on the sensors

Yep but deflections from the side can also trigger. - perhaps

I have a 4S on extended loan this weekend and experienced this and repetitive warnings. In my case lots of road spray at times and when close to a central reservation- tedious.

Perhaps the hedge on your right was determined to be a threat!

do you have the whole warning/intervention turned off?
I turned mine off today and i noticed that warning light now stays lit like you're showing
