Heated steering wheel too hot

The wheel gets unbearably hot when you switch it on, or when you pre heat the car. Any known fixes?

wow, the complaints have been that it doesn't get hot enough.
my wife's kia heated wheel is definitely better...more consistently hot.

I find the Macan wheel to just have hot spots....but hardly "unbearable" IMO

I’ll swap you with mine. It gets all the way up to “meh” degrees.

More usefully, ask your dealer if you can compare with other cars on the lot and if it’s out of whack get them to take a look at it. I’m sure there’s a potentiometer somewhere (or digital equivalent)in the system that could be tweaked. I might ask my dealer the same next time I’m in.

perhaps it is overheating. you should have the dealer check it out. they could probably test it somehow. Temperature might be out of range.

Has it been always the same or just started happening?
Going by the consensus, we all get it mildly heated.
Get it checked out soon, or next you might get smoke out of it

My Dec 2024 build std 4S steering wheel gets hot sometimes, some spots more than others until it fully warms up. If I'm not wearing gloves I have to turn it off. I've not looked for an adjustment as it seems to work like other cars I've driven over the years. There may be some variation with cabin or outside temperature, however.

When the driver’s seat has been selected to be preheated as well, the steering wheel will also be pre-heated.
