For me the only time I ever don't want to drive is stop and go traffic, has anyone used it for that and found it reliable? Overall do you feel it's worth getting that option?

Coming from Tesla with fsd that was a huge thing. To the point I was concerned getting so used to fsd could ruin my first time ever Porsche experience.
it is kind of confusing. I had my turbo specced with innodrive and have had my car for three days now and honestly don’t know if I have used the whole thing. Anyways the active lane keep and cruise control are good enough however not as good as the Tesla. For my needs when stuck in traffic and on highways again seems to be good enough.
there is something that makes it control speed but came with the car on the off position and I didn’t turn it on since reading on this forum lots complained of it being very slow.

I don't see why anyone would want to use it in a city. I live in SF and would never trust anything like that with how dynamic everything is. It definitely doesnt recognize stop signs or street lights though, nor would it do any turns at lights/intersections for you if you have a destination set. It is basically just adaptive cruise control/stop and go by following the car in front with radar/lidar combined with active steering to keep your car centered in a lane when it detects one on each side.

Innodrive is a must for traffic self drive and cruising.
It works really well.
Active lane keep + cruise control will NOT do the trick.

I did try it on my Taycan 4S (part of Feature on Demand) and it was pretty much useless for my usual roads. I don't think you can rely on it in the city (London) and it doesn't add much on the highways.

I did purchase the Active Lane Keep as that helps with long drives on highway.

Anything Porsche in this camp is not close to Tesla...

I used it for 30min or so after a weekend hike as I was pretty tired. I can tell you it's pretty good. However one time it lowered the speed of the car from 120 to 80 on highway... I guess at some point that section might have been under construction but it wasn't anymore. Thankfully there were no cars behind me so everything was fine. Generally as good as the basic/advanced autopilot of the Tesla as it was also slowing down randomly but for different reasons.

Haven't tried it in the city because where I live it requires a general artificial intelligence to navigate the roads, so maybe in 20 years I'll let a car drive on its own here 😂

Spoke with my SA, he advised against it but I’m not 100% sure he fully understands it (or maybe I don’t).

He points (as do other members here) to the fact that it aggressively changes speeds based on traffic signs which isn’t great. When I pointed out that my useful would be traffic jam driving and active lane keeping he says it won’t work unless it’s above a certain speed.

Can anybody who has optioned it confirm?

Both of those points are completely wrong lol. There is a 'follow speed limits' option that can do abruptly change your speed, but I have had that turned off since I got the car and that has never happened to me. It also works perfectly (best) for traffic, I was messing around with it today and activated it at a stop light while stopped and it set a speed of 15mph (that you can adjust from there) and then automatically started going when the car in front of me moved. I've also used it in LA traffic and it worked flawlessly. It follows the car ahead much closer than my BMW did as well which means I'm not getting cut off all the time either.

As @quaxon wrote your SA is completely wrong. It works better than my Tesla (with EU limits to Autopilot) in traffic jam and (with the follow limits turned off) I haven’t any slow down brake when limits changed (it simply stays at the speed I set except when there is a sharp turn where it slow down to make the turn and then accelerate again)

Just finally had to drive into work since getting my Macan 4 on Friday. Left earlyish (6:15 am) which allowed me to try out acceleration from say 50 to 70 and such...way, way better than expected. Cant imagine wanting more (yes, with the Macan 4 I do wish for a little more umph from 0 - 25 however).

2nd half of the trip was trying out InnoDrive a bit more, having only tried in fairly straight stop and go traffic over the weekend. I should note we are talking modest traffic, about 50 mph, on Lake Shore Drive in downtown Chicago, coming in from the north, from Belmont to Monroe street. If you don't know this patch of road, know two things: lanes (4 of them) are VERY VERY narrow, and there are two 90 degree turns you really cant do over 40 mph max. Straight for the first half, curvy around the Navy Pier. The left lane (which I was mostly in) is inches from the middle barrier the whole time.

Needless to say, I had my hand on the wheel with a loose grip the whole time, ready to prevent my baby from scraping, or worse!!!

And I never had to take control. InnoDrive worked perfectly the whole trip. Slowed down appropriately for the 90 degree turns and did them perfectly. If one gripe perhaps did not reaccelerate as quickly out of the turns as I would prefer, but not too terrible.

I consider this one of the hardest use-cases out there...very impressed.
