I wonder whether charging will automatically stop after the 30 minute free session. Once I installed the certificate, Plug&Charge worked without me doing anything else. Although I downloaded EA’s app, I never created an account so I suspect they are unable to charge me anyway. I have charged a few times but so far I have not needed more than 23 minutes to get to 80% and one time 85% so I won’t really know what will happen until I reach 30 minutes. Maybe someone else knows the answer…

In order to get the Porsche certificate, you (should have) needed to supply a credit card in the Porsche extras store for your Porsche Charging Service subscription. Same as with the free data plan.

If you run over 30 minutes, charging does not stop automatically and you DO get charged by Porsche (not EA). I had a random 42 cent charge from being a minute late back to my car just this week.

Is there a way to automatically stop charging before the 30 min free cap at Electrify America chargers?
Not automatically. However, you are able to monitor the charging time on the My Porsche app. If you select “map” and then “charging” it will show the ongoing charging time. You can then cancel the charging session via the app as soon as you reach 30 min. Or perhaps at 29 minutes to allow enough time for the app to communicate with the car. I did it today and it was successful!

I set a 29 minute timer on my watch to remind me its time to stop charging.

Can you stop the charging process using the Porsche App? I did not see a way.
Yes in the app, on the Charging screen, there is a button at the bottom to stop the session.

Also humble brag: notice the 269mi of range with 79% battery… that’s what you get with a 3.6mi/kWh efficiency. 😎

Presumably
Are these longer or shorter trips? I think temps in Jersey is similar to mine over in Vancouver Canada so what’s your secret?! lol
They range between 18 minutes and 3 hours 1/2. Some were 50 minutes, other 1 hour 1/2…

Coasting almost exclusively (rarely engage regen), without engaging Innodrive, and feather foot on the accelerator.

If I drive it like I stole it, it goes down quite a bit - like the 2.8 mi/kWh bar. 🫠
