Picked up my new car yesterday. 'Charge Status Not Available' in app - wonder if that's related to my inability to activate plug & charge. I have Connect etc....
Noticed there is an option in the app to "add charging equipment." Is this only for Porsche wall boxes or can I add my Chargepoint wall box?

Thanks!

only Porsche - to my knowledge you can add Power Wall Charger (PWCC) Connect and/or Porsche Mobile Charger Connect (PMCC)

it's not a generic charging equipment portal.

Same issue. I was supposed to take delivery of my 4S yesterday, but there were a host of issues that prevented me from being able to do so.
1. App was showing “charge status not available”
2. App was showing pre-climate not available
3. Car would not let me log in as main user
4. Car would not fetch date and time. Showed 1/1/2000 and 12am
5. Car would not let me turn on automatic date and time
6. Parking cameras and functions were inoperable
7. QR code for logging into car would not populate. Had to manually attempt signing in
8. Factory reset did nothing to fix this

Oddly enough plug and charge setup worked. But there were so many other problems that I didn’t feel comfortable accepting the car. The service manager said something about PDI being done incorrectly. They mentioned that PDI was done with only one key in the car instead of two. Not sure why this would cause such a serious cascade of issues…but they’re going to attempt to PDI again and hopefully I’ll be able to pick it up tomorrow. Very frustrating and disappointing first experience with Porsche. At least they provided me with a gas Macan loaner in the meantime.

Nothing to do with P&C and more to do with connectivity to your car or car to Porsche.

A good cell connection for both car and phone is recommended.

And as @Dave EV mentioned the add is for Porsche kit only.

Important to have logged into the car with your Porsche ID at the dealership before driving off the lot so that all of this stuff can be checked out.

Sounds like the dealership PDI didn't go to plan.

Tried to add the Porsche Mobile Charger but it didn’t have a QR code to scan. Tried to add it manually but the country list had only European countries and not the USA???

I am planning to email Porsche customer support to see whether they can fix it on their end.

I was able to obtain the certificate and the Charging Section on the app says “Your Charging Service is valid and in the inclusive period”. Have not yet tried to go to an EA charging station to see if P&C works. However, I was able to charge at home with the Porsche mobile charger, 9.6 KWh when set at 100%.
However, I cannot manage it remotely with the My Porsche app. It states that “charge status is not available”, charging function is grayed out and “not available”, and Pre-climate function is also “not available”.
I am going to see whether it fixes itself within the next few days as I picked the car on Friday afternoon and perhaps the IT department was off over the weekend… otherwise, I will email Porsche customer support to see if they can fix it on their end.

for home charging "adding" the PWCC/PMCC only lets you see status/statisitics - charging control is still via the vehicle -NOT- the Porsche charging service.

adding it is really kinda pointless other than visibility into charging history and statistics…command/control of the EV charger (EVSE) is not supported by Porsche's feature set.

I agree that it is pretty much useless. Regardless, I am planning to use the Tesla UWC as my wife has a Tesla MX. I posted it because I was surprised that the app only allows you to pick European countries and not the USA. Maybe my account is wrongly set as being in Europe on Porsche’s end? I doubt it, but it made me wonder…

what do you mean? you don't need to add the charger, but you can start n stop, set charging time etc, from the app.

You need to perform the setup from the PMCC where you link your Porsche ID to the PMCC. Until this has been done the app won't know.

Your PMCC must be connected either to your phone as a local hotspot or to your home router to be configured.

When connected the app will give you charging history only.

Note also that the PMCC has a separate web interface to manage some features. You should have a white envelope with userids and passwords.

Do you have the Owner's manual as this will walk you through the steps.

In summary, read the manual and forget My Porsche App until your PMCC is fully setup, online and registered to your Porsche ID. Once done you will then see it in the app.
