Macan EC Model Year 2026 and Leipzig factory closure

Hi,

I know this topic has been touched briefly in other threads but wonder if anyone does have any information regarding Model Year 2026 start and Leipzig factory closure. According to Porsche app, my build starts on 13th of July and starts leaving factory on 11th of August. 1 month to build seems strange.

I think the OP means the August pause due to vacation and production line servicing rather than a complete factory closing.Maybe I'm wrong though...
Concerning the building time needed for the car to be produced,as far as I know a heavy spec'ed loaded car needs approx 3 weeks to exit the factory from day 1 to completion including all necessary software installations and concequent testing prior entering the delivery phase to the dealership.
As for MY2026 according to my knowledge will start from September 01.

do not think they go on holidays either. they work 24/7 in three shifts.

Thank you, car is fairly spect. Also delay occurred once I optioned for club leather. Original build scheduled for June with delivery July/August. Thanks for clarifying on factory holidays, yes, that’s what I meant. Hope they get the car right this time, first one was a lemon. Just don’t want car be build by those mentally already on holidays and finished by those still on holidays;-)

I think they do but possibly not for full duration. Betriebsurlaub vom 4. August 2025 bis einschließlich 26. August 2025. Just updated on the web.

Mine was built in august (delivered in September) in less than 1 month (at Leipzig) and it was one of the first Macan EV built so now it can only be faster. 22K kms done with zero issues.

According to my SA and adding to my previous knowledge from in here August is the month most of the employees have their vacation and the plant in general even though continues their works it's under a "shlower than usual" mode.It's also the month Porsche chooses for servicing the production equipment.Full production capacity is resumed from 31/08 onwards.

I remember some time along the way my SA told me that especially the Macan unlike the rest Porsche models will not change its MY on September but rather from November onwards but I doubted him giving more credit to the information I got in here from our community. Maybe it's true after all however it was completely impossible to have the car delivered beyond late October/early November as I'll be away for winter untill 15-20 January 2026.

He rold me he would try applying for an allocation as late as possible but according to my above post most likely he finally didn't manage to succeed.

It’s actually normal. The start time refers to the entire batch, so it doesn’t necessarily mean your build will begin on the 13th of July. However, they’ll likely confirm that they have all the necessary parts for your build by that date. I’m pretty sure the end date refers to the estimated delivery date, not that your dealer would want to confirm that
