To be clear, these are the 2 parts to remove:
1. Slides right off (pull it towards the roof)
2. Once the previous part is off, it’s fairly easy

Everything looks normal, like on my car.

I also struggled when I first did it but the second time around was easy.

Yeah, that was my issue. (1) doesn’t slide off towards the roof even with quite a lot of force. Will give it another shot sometime in the future 🫣wife isn’t happy that I scratched the hard plastic when I took off the first part

Oh by the way, there is one clip on each side (left and right), that attaches this piece to #2.

You will need to use the little plastic tool (flat side) to separate #1 from #2.
Based on your pic, it looks like they’re still attached.

Thanks!! Just reporting another success story with Fitcamx! Took us about 4 hrs with the install video and your hot tips to finally get it done… whew!!

Can you please detail out how to remove part #2 after removing #1? I have struggled a lot to remove #2.... Do I need to detached the mirror after removing part #2 to install fitcamx? Please help.

Part 2 is as per the video, turn counter clockwise (with some effort) and it comes off. The shell that forms Part 2 is then replaced by the FitCamX.... every step of the install is tough as.

Part 2 is as per the video, turn counter clockwise (with some effort) and it comes off. The shell that forms Part 2 is then replaced by the FitCamX.... every step of the install is tough as.

I have seen the video you attached. I tried to turn it counter clockwise, but failed. I might need to try again with more force... Anyway, thanks for your help!
