Nice looking . Curious to see it installed. I assume you utilized the pre wired option to allow for hookup?
Fitcamx uses the rain sensor with a plug and play harness to provide power, no need for the factory pre wire.

Nop, I’ve decided to put this one with OEM look « as Is »: one channel, no need to record when the car is off.
So no need to use the pre-wires, I will connect it through the Y cable that comes with the fitcamx. So it will be powered by the rain sensor.

It will allow me to wait for better skilled people to try more performant dashcams, to install it on their Macan EV by using the pre-wires, and to come to a conclusion that « this » (tbd) is the best custom solution!

I've been told the prewire is most useful for rear camera installation, but the front is as easy with or without..

Sure, that’s what I’m waiting for or trick to use the video cable that links front and back camera with a dashcam which is not Porsche one…
