Macan Hybrid?

Have seen and seated in the new Cayenne, in real life it’s not that ugly, even the back is OK ish, was also the feedback of everybody that came to see it. While it offers a bit more space, the overall interior space and booth are marginally bigger, I had hoped it would be as practical as the Q7 I had, but it landed short. As an overall package the Macan is nicer, let’s hope the Coupe can replicate this, though practical wise the verdict is in and for me that was a let down. (Driving wise it will not be as agile as the Macan, that is pure fysics, maybe the turbo with the hydrolics can beat it but then you land at 230K …)

The S and GTS will be along soon enough which I'm expecting will enable the PAR option.

I didn't go to the launch (3 invites, yawn) but will test drive for sure when the window opens.

Ha ha, transit van it is not.

I've owned an S and GTS previously and overall size is within the Panamera or Taycan range.

Suggest to check the dimensions and then make a call on whether it is too big or impractical - 10 cm in length difference is all 4.9m vs 4.9m (Taycan) vs 4.8m (Macan).

Did you liken your Taycan to a Transit van also??

The Cayenne is a massive brick like vehicle and imho based on driving 400 miles in a high spec hybrid handles like a t*t on a trampoline, bit like Range Rover type vehicles with high centres of gravity. Taycan does not drive like big car but imho is still oversized for most UK roads as was an Audi S7 I had a decade ago. Interior space in Cayenne is also very ‘anti Tardis’ - not for me!

I love my Macan Turbo, in Sport Plus it’s a beast. Whilst the infotainment of the new Cayenne Electric is better than the Macan, I think the Macan looks far better than the new Cayenne.
