There is an analogy in the Corvette world, when both dealers and customers call the Z-51 performance package and the interior 2LT trim (middle of two interior trim levels), “the sweet spot.” It is called that in terms of cost, getting enough of what most want, and in terms of resale.

I think the 4S is the Macan EV’s sweet spot for most. IMO, it is a very sensitive purchase level for many.

I saw a Volcano Grey in the wild in Colorado earlier this month. It looked phenomenal. Great color - the one I saw was a total head-turner. To be fair, this car is just great looking, regardless of color. There are a couple of colors that I like a lot less than the others, but even in those colors, this car looks fantastic IRL.

My thoughts exactly. Really wasn't a huge jump for an extra 100 or so bhp. Didn't go for the roof bars . Did however spec air suspension. It's a must have I think personally especially for our northern Ireland roads. 21" wheels are more than enough to bump around on.

I also find the 4S the sweat spot. The 4 felt a but too slow for its weight while the 4S has always enough power. The Turbo will just spoil you for all other cars forever

I originally ordered a 4 but then offered a 4S with delivery before April (tax change in the UK) and surprised how little extra it was over the 4. In my case some of the options were considerably less on the 4S than the 4 so it helped reduce the increase.

I went with Volcano Grey, mostly as I wanted a light interior with a dark exterior and will never have a black car again. I thought the standard side and front panels would blend in better with the Grey and they do. I was very happy when they did the ‘unveil’ - the car looked much better in the ‘metal’ than in the numerous images I had seen. If I bought again, I would spec the same again !

Have you seen this Canadian review of the 4S. I too have a 4S in Volcano Grey, as I thought it would go well with the outdoor pack in Vesuvius Grey, which it does with the Bordeuex red leather extended intetior, which is a deep red rather than a bright red.
The car looks great, but with it being dark, in my opinion, does show up the dirt, especially after the rain in Manchester.

My 4S has been in the garage for 2 days after ordering and worrying in early December about the future of tariffs and just getting it in time.
