New CarPlay plus reference in Survey

Hey Guys,

i bought a Macan EV in December and received a survey yesterday regarding my satisfaction with the car.

I noticed that there was some reference to "CarPlay plus" in the survey, so it seems like the Macan EV will be the first Porsche with the new CarPlay plus. It also seems like CarPlay plus was supposed to be released by now - but we all know that apples schedules are kind of messed up these days.

So now we have the official name.

Anyone else as excited as I am?

Just curious….what is it about the current configuration that you don’t like? To me, the carplay integration on the macan is better than any other vehicle I’ve tried.

Well, I don’t like that the music piece will only show what’s playing through Apple Music, so if you’re listening to SiriusXm or something, the middle screen is always wrong.
I also do not like that you can’t adjust the display unless it’s the middle display and finally I hate the fact that there appears to be no way to adjust the Apple Navigation prompt volume separate from the stereo volume. The two through CarPlay are not well matched whereas when I use Porsche navigation, I can adjust the level and get a consistent output I can hear, no matter how loud or soft the music is playing.

I don't have my Macan yet, but CarPlay in my iX and in my wife's CRV allow you to adjust the navigation volume by changing the volume while Siri is speaking. Easy to take the volume down then, but I could see a problem bringing the volume back up if you basically muted Siri (since you wouldn't know when it was speaking again so you could turn the volume up).

In my survey it was not included But that was long time ago …
