It was on purpose: I choose the angle to have this effect which is the best way to show defects.

when the display is on, you can’t see any light reflection …

Looks great. Are you happy with the edges, are they rough? Thanks!
I believe the climate control panel is plastic and agree with protecting it from scratches. However, I thought the center infotainment panel was made of glass and therefore less likely to scratch. Am I mistaken?

The front climate panel looks like glass as well… but can’t say if it’s actually glass.
The risk with those panels/screen is linked to jewelry, especially rings IMO.

Edges are a bit too sharp, but cuts/size are perfect.
Pictures I’ve provided look like in the flesh, so if you like them, you’ll like in real life…

Screen protect done by the PPF installer. The matt film looks nice, and is smudge free.
He did these free of cost :)
Wow -- this looks nice. I love the anti-glare more for the fingerprint improvement even more than reflections. I elected not to do PPF (leased vehicle)....but I'd definitely pay for this.

And for the curved piano black part under the climate control panel, a wrap with vinyl transparent film?
the curved part was pretty swirled after my car was in for service. They were diagnosing the AC and seemed to be touching that area a lot.

as for the center display, i just kept the factory protective film on it, the peel tab is separate so you can just remove the tab and have a free protective film on it.

The specialty shop that is going to apply the PPF and ceramic coating on my car advised me against using PPF on the piano black climate control panel. His argument was that they use liquid to place the PPF and that it could damage the electronics. He offered to place ceramic coating for free. Any suggestions from owners faced with this dilemma? Thx

Frankly, tequipment film is just perfect, why would you choose another solution?

Because it was offered as complimentary. I had read somewhere (here I think) that their piano black climate control panel was covered with PPF at no cost as part of the deal of doing the car exterior. So I asked the person at AP3 - Paint Protection Services about it when negotiating PPF for my car. He said it was not recommended for the reason stated above. Prior to that, I was thinking of ordering the tequipment film. However, when he mentioned that he will do coating at no cost I figured I could get some of the owners opinions about it. Just trying to gather information before making a final decision. Complimentary is always better than paying lol. Not that I am being cheap after buying an expensive car. Just trying to do what is best ;)

I negotiated PPF and it cost me £3k. It was after that I went on to ask if he could also protect screens and I thought he would charge extra for them, but the guy said he would put on those Screen Protectors as well, as complimentary. So, well pleased :)
