Porsche Electric Sport Sound Get it or not?

I enjoy it and think it adds a bit to the experience of putting your foot down when you get the sound feedback as well as the gforce throw you back in your seat.

Yet to hear it from the outside yet (just the spaceship sound when my wife approaches the drive slow). Tempted to go stand on the path next to the main road and get her to drive past at a quicker speed to see what it sounds like… but she will call me sad…

I didn't spec my car so at first I thought it was silly, but it's not trying to replicate an ICE engine, and admit it sounds pretty cool. I say get it.

I did not spec it but did try it on the loaner Macan I was given. If you might miss the accelerator feedback that an ICE gives you, get it. I preferred to use the money for other options and I’m still happy with the decision. The car makes a sound regardless that is kind of like a growl.

I spec'd Electric Sport Sound on my Taycan GTS and love it. I will admit that after a while, the novelty of the sound wore off and I got tired of it, so I mostly leave it off now. That said, I still turn it on occasionally when I let the car rip and it does still add to the excitement of an otherwise fast but very quiet car, so I did spec it on my Macan Turbo order as well.

I’ve got my options in but was thinking of adding Porsche Electric Sport Sound. What’s people’s thought on this? Yes or no?

I did not opt for it for my turbo. i got the sound insulating glass and love the exceptional quiet drive and to listen to music..

Since it takes a software and hardware upgrade, I wonder whether in the future you could add different sounds either via a Porsche’s update or via hacking…

It's not very noticeable to me. I'm usually listening to music.

I even stopped adjusting to sport plus because the car automatically lowers itself when up to speed. Lift the car up and it goes back down anyway. Electric sport sound isn't necessary but if you have to have it, get it. This should've been a free option for launch models.

Personally I think it should be included as part of the Sport Chrono package.

had it in the Taycan - hardly switched it on
Did not spec on Macan - have not missed it - use the cost and get something more useful
