I tried finding an existing thread on this but only info I found was on the Taycan forum. Basically, using the 14-50 connector in my garage with the portable lvl 2 charger it does not charge faster than 5.5kw and the charger says 50%. How do I get it to charge at 100%. 9+kw. I am on a 40 amp circuit.
Note that my Volvo XC 40 will charge at 9kw on the same circuit using the Volvo supplied lvl 2 charger. I then swapped chargers (Porsche Charger into the XC 40 and the volvo charger into the Porsche). As I expected Volvo is now only charging at 5.5kw and the Porsche is now charging at 9.2kw.
How do i get the Porsche charger to pump out 9kw or go to 100% ?
I read on the Taycan forum that you can only used it at 5.5kw with a 14-50 connecter. If true when does it flip to 100%? (on a 110 v trickle charge?). Also if true, why did Porsche not supply us with a proper lvl 2 charger pumping out at least 9Kw?
