I think the objective is to disable the system without reverting to disabling it within the PCM which becomes too much effort. It will work (of course).Try this:
Settings, Vehicle Settings, Vehicle Locking Systems. Under comfort access, disable the Unlocking the Vehicle without using the vehicle key. Now go to the front of the vehicle with your key fob, and try sweeping motion by the Porsche Logo, left to right, and down motion. My 4 does not open the frunk no matter what sweeping motion I do. Note: After car wash, you may enable back to auto lock/unlock.
Doesn't work. But i try it again, thanks..I think the objective is to disable the system without reverting to disabling it within the PCM which becomes too much effort. It will work (of course).
Did the keyfob method not work?

Potentially the Macan EV is different in this regard but works on other Porsche models for sure.Key fob method didn't work when I tried it.
From what I can see, this would be a function of the key fob itself (as opposed to a function within the car) and the new-style EV key doesn't appear to do It.Potentially the Macan EV is different in this regard but works on other Porsche models for sure.
What does the key look like (not sure what you mean by 'new style'?From what I can see, this would be a function of the key fob itself (as opposed to a function within the car) and the new-style EV key doesn't appear to do It.
I mean new style relative to all previous Porsche fobs I've had. Sorry, I no longer have any other Porsches, so I can't do a side-by-side, but the new key, while similar in shape to the previous ones, has two major differences (besides, apparently, not having the two-button press function): the order of the buttons is different (now, moving away from crest: frunk/unlock/lock/trunk). This has been a source of complaints on some reviews (silly, I think) where reviewers complain of opening the frunk with the first button, instead of unlocking the car. It is true that you cannot navigate the buttons by touch now. What does the key look like (not sure what you mean by 'new style'?
There is an emergency key though located in the glovebox (weird place to store!)?I mean new style relative to all previous Porsche fobs I've had. The other difference is that there is no longer a contained emergency key.
